Not sure, Sega showed no interest in funding development. It was left for dead until Nintendo decided to pay to bring it back to life.

Just like certain things are not clear to Nintendo fan boys you mean. I don't know what you're getting at. There is nothing wrong with PS3 and 360 owners who want to play the game voicing their views. Nintendo console owners do the same thing when a game doesn't get released on their console.
