I bought Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (MH3U [see what I/they did there]), my console refuses to read the disc and claims it's dirty (despite being brand new and clean as a whistle); I got the game exchanged and the problem persists. But everything else works just fine (I have an old copy of Brawl that's been Skip Dr.'ed to Hades and it works just fine). So I can't say that it's either the disc's fault because it only happens to MH3U, or the console as there is nothing wrong with the game as far as I can tell. And I really don't want to have wasted $60!

TL;DR Got new clean game, says it's dirty & won't read, will only not read said game.

Since every other game works besides MH3U, and you've went through two copies. I'm assuming it's a problem with the console. Do you have the latest firmware update? If not, try updating. But if that doesn't work, you're probably going to have to call Nintendo and possibly send in the console.

I had the same problem with my first WiiU. It's broken. You either need to exchange your console with a new one from the store you bought it from or send it to Nintendo.

It seems like you would just need to update your console. Not sure. That's a strange problem.

dont take it back to the store. It will mess up your Nintendo account. Only send in the wii u to Nintendo for repaires.

And to the op.
Try to update the system first then give mintedo a call and see what they think.
