because it is not the best generation... It was full of glitches and there aren't nearly as many cool pokemon in the first gen as there were in others. Although its all opinion I guess.

I agree with Infernape, but the others are stupid as well, Garchomp is the worst pseudo legendary by far. And who even has a legit Arceus other than me and like .00001% of the Pokemon fan base?

Last i checked the term milking refers to reusing the game over and over with minimal changes, something a long time fan since gen 1 like me hasn't seen(both with gameplay and pokemon) in the series, i hate when people claim the original 151 Pokemon were the best when only a few of them are actually useful in today's metagame.

And for the record there's 649 of them.

The thing is, people say they should have stopped at 151, or even 250, but if they didn't add more, after all this time, it would be unacceptable. 

There's NO WAY, they could make 5 going on 6 generations of pokemon games with only the original 151 or 250 and still be good. 

Now, i can certainly agree, 700 should be the limit, maybe even 1000, i would be cool with a 1000. but i mean cmon, give them some credit, (not aimed at you directly), they had to add more pokemon after gen 2

Why must a game have 5 or 6 generations? Not every game should have millions of sequels and spin offs.

mmh, to eachs own i guess, but if people like it, and its sellin, and improving, why not?
should games like mario, street fighter, halo, stop because they've had x amount of games?

Pokemon is the second best selling video game franchise of all time(only beaten by Mario) it's addictive gameplay is one of the reasons why the series is consider by some to be the killer app of Nintendo handhelds

I astonishes me how many people here ether hate Pokemon or are just plain Genwunners, im not going to lie my first Pokemon game was White(which was rented from Gamefly) afterwards i went back and played HGSS, Platinum and Emerald, i don't hate the original 151(Golduck,Electabuzz and the Kadabra family are among my favorite Pokemon) but i find their designs(as well as a few gen 2 pokes) to boring and uninspiring compared to the colorful and complexed designs of the gen 3 4 and 5 pokemon.

As for whole "Gen 4 sucks" thing, the Sinnoh games(diamond Pearl and Platinum)did a lot for the series, they were the first in the series in 3D, the first to introduce a snowy climate, the first to feature transformations, the first with and had the first villainous team to attempt world domination

Sorry to go into a rant but it annoys me how these Genwunners pointlessly bash the new pokemon because the blinded by nostalgia.

Um... Game Freak confirmed they were only going up to 700 next gen not 800 as you suggested, besides Gen 6 looks to be another "EVO" Gen like Gen 2 and 4 where most the new Pokemon are evolutions/pre-evolutions for older Pokemon.

Actually to be exact, Game Freak said that there would be 700+ Pokemon available in X and Y meaning older pokemon too, i do agree though i think there will be more than just 51 new pokemon in gen VI but i don't see them going that far beyond 700 since most of the current 649 will be available in game.
