But Torchwood... Damn, is it really slow right now. Children of Earth was a great season, but Miracle Day is going slow and lacking the "sci-fi" aspect... I really hope it picks up.

I also like Matt Smith. I didn't think I would at first, because David Tennant was a great Doctor and I was unsure if Matt Smith could be as good as him. I think I actually prefer him to Tennant now though. Steven Moffat's also done a good job since he took over as the lead writer.
It took me a long long time to get used to Matt Smith, I even literally hated his interpretation of the Doctor for quite some time but I'm used to it now. However, I still stand by David Tennant + Steven Moffat = Mind blowingly awesome.
I personally think that Tennant could have been so much better, but that was Davies' fault. To be honest, Russel Davies has no real grasp on writing science fiction. Sure, he revived the series, but he should stick to drama. Matt plays the doctor extremely well, as he is the humanistic alien, plus Moffat is a terrific writer.

Children of Earth was brilliant, the ending was a bit iffy but all the way through it was pretty solid. As for the new season I remember sitting down to watch it and then fifty minutes later realizing there was only ten minutes left and asking myself 'Did anything really happen?'
I'm not sure that I like this whole moving to America thing, no offense to the Americans and the nice sum of money they injected into the series but I felt it was more grittier in London and Cardiff. Dunno maybe that's just me.
