Basically exactly what the Title says. I'm doing a project and would love some video to work with!

Ideally you want to use a capture card.

 

Most of my friends use the Elgato Game Capture HD, but there are alternatives out there.

 

All of these are way better than pointing your camera at a TV, fo' sho'.

I use my VCR. If you have a DVR all the merrier

If you do make sure you have an A/V splitter because they sure do lag.

why would you do that when you can just use a software

Hopefully one day there will be a nice, user-friendly alternative to FRAPS for PC recording.

Output the video signal on your ubermax computerbox via an HDMI with a splitter to composite converter box, male-to-male composite cables from your converter box to your VCR.

 

Nothing is better than having VHS-quality gameplay videos.
