I don't see the image.  Does it provide more context?

Yep. Fatal Frame is now owned by Nintendo. Fatal Frame 4 and a remake of the second game were released on the Wii. Not in North America of course...

I just remembered. I'm hoping for a Fatal Frame (Project Zero) reboot. Now it's a Nintendo only franchise it'll be perfect for Nintendo to put out both Eternal Darkness 2 and Fatal Frame, two horror games could improve Nintendos image to some gamers.

This is perfect. let's hope for some news on the series soon!

I think its unlikely either of those games will come to the Wii U. If Fatal Frame does then chances are it will only be released in Japan.

Why did Nintendo bother buying the franchise then?

Nintendo has plenty of franchises that are only released in Japan.

But Project Zero/Fatal Frame was one of my fav horror games in the UK. I'm sure with a reboot it could be marketed to a western market...Oh wait, Nintendo and marketing = bad medicine

They own the franchise and have already released one game on the Wii in Japan and the EU but not in the US. Other then that they havent done anything with the franchise or even mentioned anything about a possibel follow up. There is no guarantee they will release another especially in the US and possibly even in the EU. Even if they do make another game its likely it may only get released in Japan in my opinion.

Yeah it was announced like last year, I just hope they can make it worth the wait, they have both the Fatal Frame Franchise & the guys who did the Xeno series.

Fatal Frame is on the 3DS aswell so there may be a good chance for the Wii U. It's called Spirit Camera.
