So you're basing the entire Generation 6 on 1 pokemon thats actually a fan favorite already? You make a extremely valid point *claps* well done!
Sigh. No. I'm just expecting not that many great designs because generation 5 pretty much sucked, and the 4 revealed Pokémon from Gen 6 (so excluding the mascots) are pretty crap too. My expectations just aren't that high anymore, but it's Nintendo, they can surprise me.

May i as what exactly are you looking for in "design"?
Those last two Pokémon are pretty good. The first two, not so, but not the worst example of Gen 5 either. I want more inspired Pokémon. These gear Pokémon and the icecream ones look lazy to me. Also, some Pokémon have gotten too cute. I can't really describe the reasons why I don't like gen5 except for that a lot of them are just uninspired to me. However it has some badass Pokémon for sure.

Is it such a big deal that I don't like Generation 5 designs? I'm far from the only one. Not saying the games are bad, but I don't like most of the designs as much as gen 1-4.

i loved generation 5, and I've been with Pokemon since the beginning, I thought it was the best gen since the first, the second and 4 gen Pokemon are by far the worst. And I'm pretty impressed with all the generation six Pokemon released so far.Sigh. i loved generation 5, and I've been with Pokemon since the beginning, I thought it was the best gen since the first, the second and 4 gen Pokemon are by far the worst. And I'm pretty impressed with all the generation six Pokemon released so far.
Each to his own I guess. I forgot to mention I don't own a gen 5 game, so I was not arguing about the game itself, but to the Pokémon designs, which I have all seen.

Generation 5 in terms of gameplay was fantastic. In terms of the designs of the Pokemon... not so much.

Well the new news was a disappointment. I was hoping for some info about game play features. Oh well I hope we get it next time.
