New 3D mario (never gets old)

Wind Waker HD (haven't got a gamecube or the game, so going to get this)

New Zelda Game (need I say more?)

Pikmin 3 (been 9 years since pikmin 2, we needed a new pikmin)

Retro Studios (some game we all apparently want them to do, so guess it counts)

Yoshi's yarn (been 8 years since touch and go, even more if we are talking 3d games)

Mario Kart U (because there is one on every console)

Smash Bros 4 (been 5 years since the last)

Bayonetta 2 (nuff said)

ALL Exclusive games, ALL on the wii U, 

 

games right now? Zombiu, Nintendo land, NSMBU, Lego City

No wonder the wii u isnt doing so well right now, there is bearly anything on it! in the next 1/2 years we are getting 9 giant games we know off, even more if you count the smaller indie games.

Mario and mario kart will bring in the casuals, 

Zelda, Smash Bros, bayonetta 2 will bring in the Hardcores,

Pikmin, wind waker hd will bring in the Nostalgics

Most consoles starts are and always have been slow, why is the wii u being slow so Surprising now?

 

Why should we be patient though, why don't Nintendo make sure there are more games at a consoles launch ?

you make it sound like a game doesn't take years to make... they was all busy on other games

Xbox Live is the standard in online gaming. Sony and Nintendo are trying desperately to catch up.

Kinect - Say what you want about it, but a hands free motion sensor is being used in everything from TV's to computers now. Sony tried to rip off the Wii and failed miserably.

 

Just to name a few area's as of late.

 

 

I'm sure some people do enjoy them, but it's time to start demanding some more new IP's from Nintendo because third party support is going to be next to non-existant.

 

I own an Xbox 360. Xbox LIVE doesn't have anything on it that really puts itself above the other 2 besides cross-game chat. I honestly feel like $60 goes to waste each year JUST so I can play with friends online.

 

As for Kinect, it's just a more advanced EyeToy.

Well from what we have seen with the PS4 game wise have been fairly low. Heres what we know.

 

Games coming out on other systems (or have already) :

*Diablo 3

*Destiny

*Witness

*Watchdogs

*AC4

*Witcher 3

*BF4

 

Games exclusive to system:

*Killzone 4 (Oh look another fps)

*Driveclub (Not really that different from Forza)

*Knack (While very neatly integrated, the PSVITA controller could cause low sales)

 

Don't take this as me saying the PS4 or the games are in anyway bad, im just saying that there really isn't that much that the PS4 has to offer that will be available elsewhere.

Seriously.  I have always thought that Xbox Live just has more bells and whistles than the other free online services of it's competitors and it should since you are paying for it.  However, to say that MS is innovative because of Live is total BS.  Innovative and rehash are the two most over used words in the video game industry.

You SHOULD NOT have to pay for Xbox LIVE. Steam does everything Xbox LIVE does for free.

I just dont want nintendo to play it safe. if they arent going to go all out on the hardware and compete in specs... then give us new ip's and take some chances with their exisiting IP's.

chance 1: Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei

chance 2: Wonderful 101 

chance 3: Bayonetta 2 (covering the third party exclusive category you left out applies to chance 2 as well)

chance 4: X by Monolith soft (so they technically started last gen with xenoblade, but so what? they are still new and that game proved they are obviously in need of some more powerful hardware to work on) 

 

So two third party exclusives, a crossover with an existing ip, and a completely new ip aren't enough for you? It's like you want to see Nintendo make a shooter or something. lol. 

 

On that note though I do admit I would like to see Nintendo either do another Metroid prime/metroid with that perspective with multiplayer like hunters or develop a completely new fps ip. They need a presence in that market, but only if they do it right.

Monolith and Fire Emblem ARE first party. and we have only ever had 5 3D mario games spanning all the way back accross 3.5 generations. Do the math that equals less than 1.5 3D Mario games a generation. why are you upset? Well I'm sorry. I guess how I can see how the word "upset" can be equated to "mad" I guess I meant it as more of "complaining" which if you look at your original post it CAN come accross that way.

Now that's cleared up. I notice you dodged the point I made.

I don't think the PS4 will provide a more "complete" gaming experience than the Wii U, but a different one. Better for some people, worse for some, but not more complete.

I disagree. You only have to look at what the PS3 offers compared to the Wii and Wii U to know that the overall experience will be far better not to mention all the stuff they mentioned in the PS4 presentation.

First... who cares about the PS4. It's like getting excited about buying a 3 year old computer. My money is on the Xbox 720 if anything. At least Microsoft tries to innovate.
 
Second... Let's go through some of the "Wii U" saving games you mentioned:
 
Yoshi's Yarn - Oh wow Nintendo, another Yoshi platformer. Haven't seen that before
Wind Waker HD - Oh wow Nintendo, bringing a gamecube game to the HD world! Way to innovate.
A new 3D Mario Game! - Is this 1996?
Mario Kart U - Do I even need to say anything?
Smash Bros 4 - Stop it with the sequels... PLEASE
 
The same old tired franchises being used OVER and OVER again which are basically cliché’s of themselves.
 
If this is your idea of Nintendo's saving grace... then you are in for a rude awakening.

You may not care about the PS4 but a lot of other people do. As for being a three year old computer you obviously have no clue what the PS4 is about. At least Sony is pushing forward with its technology unlike Nintendo who release a console which is at most a bit better then the current generation. As for Microsoft what make you think they will be better then Sony. They are using similar technology to Sony so their console will not be that much different. You're obviously biased because you don't mention the flaws in the Wii U and Nintendo's philosophy regards games. To me you don't sound like a true gamer like a lot of people here. If you were you would embrace all gaming platforms regardless of the company behind them.

I respect Sony for what they are doing with PS4. It's nice to see them actually do some innovative stuff for gaming with their software. Hardware wise, not so much, but that's hard to be innovative on without being regarded as a gimmick by many like the wii was.I probably won't get one simply because I consider myself a Nintendo gamer, but have a PC for games I can't get on Nintendo, and my friends usally go xbox so I will probably end up getting that to play whatever multiplayer games they have if I'm interested. 

 

The part I have bolded here confuses me because in the rest of your post is basically bashing Nintendo, but then you are telling us to embrace ALL systems INCLUDING Nintendo which you just failed to put in a good word for at all? I don't understand what your point really is.

Xbox 360 is just an awful gaming pc that you have to pay 60/year for to play online, and has halo and gears, and a terrible ui filled with ads

I think one of the bigger disappointments for me is the lack of DLC use.

 

As far as I can tell, only one game has has DLC being used on the system, that being Assassin's Creed III. Feel free to point out some more to me. The only thing remotely close to was the Spotpass I got from Tecmo Koei regarding Christmas costumes for three characters in WO3H.

 

I also know that Treyarch tried to get DLC to Black Ops II and apparently for the last few months, it's under review. I don't like that Nintendo is like this. They don't like to adapt to current trends that well. They know that there are plenty of users that use DLC features and the like. Their practices as a software creator should not impede how DLC works for the third parties on their system. They went ahead and said developers had download freedom... so where is it?

I'm neither a Sony fanboy or a troll. Unlike you and a lot of people here I criticise all three console manufacturers when its warranted and praise them when its warranted. You on the other hand just act like a fanboy and refuse to acknowledge that all three console manufacturers have pros as well as cons in terms of their hardware, the gaming experience they provide and their business practices. You obviously have trouble understanding me if you think I'm bashing Nintendo. Unlike you I'm realistic and I don't blindly accept Nintendo can do no wrong just like I'm realistic about both Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo still has a lot to learn and with the release of the Wii U they haven't learnt from their past mistakes and put in a half hearted effort in the console and the features and services they provide. In that respect both Sony and Microsoft do a far better job although that's not to say they are perfect either.

I say lets all just wait 'til e3 eh? If during e3 all ninty announces is stuff we already know about but nowt else, and microsonysoft announce tons of new titles and other cool stuff, THEN and ONLY THEN should we be worried. 

then leave now, the only thing there showing is stuff we already know, retros game, maybe 1-2 other new games and EVERYTHING ELSE will be footage of games we already know are being made (example mario, mario kart, zelda etc). nintendo are already getting like 15 first/second party games already, adding even more is asking too much.
