I think microsoft is should announce a portable at GDC or E3. What are your opinions?

I think microsoft is going to announce a portable at GDC or E3. What are your opinions? Thats why I'm not getting a Vita =( till I hear something from microsoft.

I can see Microsoft entering the handheld market in the future, although I don't think an Xbox Portable will happen anytime soon. 2012 will have the Vita and the 3DS will have really taken of by then. It would make more sense for Microsoft to release a handheld further into the lives of the Vita and 3DS when people will be ready for a new handheld and when some people will be getting tired of the 3DS/Vita.

Microsoft tried to enter the market VIA phones, but it didn't meet huge success or anything.

Whether or not they try for a more dedicated Handheld depends on how well the Vita does against the 3DS. If Sony scratches Ninty's Iron hold on the handheld market, then who says that Microsoft won't think they can do the same?

It's just a smart phone. A friend of mine used to own one of the older one, but you couldn't play Xbox games on it...

You actually believe this? I can guarantee those are just mockups. Trust me, if Microsoft did make a handheld it wouldn't look like a toy. Not getting another handheld because of something like this is just silly, I mean how could it end up being better than the Vita even if Microsoft did make it?

I agree with Ninjashock here. I wouldn't decide not to buy a Vita purely on the off chance of Microsoft announcing an Xbox Portable. There's a good chance you won't hear anything from Microsoft anytime soon.

Yes i know it seems better to put out a portable imo i never said that they were real i might add that another reason im not get a yet vita cause they need better titles mainly god of war then i will get it.

They make it half the size and add a decent battery life?
