Is there a way to back up the disc games onto the WiiU?

For anti-piracy reasons you cant.

Nope but I hope it does come. @Poison that makes no sense, even when the game is backed up on the Wii U if the feature ever becomes possible you would still require the disc to play it, just like the Xbox 360 it would read the disc once then it would sit Idle in the drive.

yes its call digital download. lol

but really no. you either use hard copy or digital download. no way to convert legally or illegally.

No. In any case to take advantage of such a feature you would need to use an external HD as the internal memory wouldn't hold many games.

I hope they add this feature, sick of the drive going like mad when black ops is in, I reakon there maybe a few failing drives eventually because of certain games are constantly loading textures etc

Well, it will hopefully come. It's not there yet, but lots of things aren't there yet.
