Ok so i just bought the Premium model WiiU today and i need to clarify some things before i start playing.

1. Am i able to play the console without downloading the update at all (Not just in the background)

2. Do we know the exact size of the update, there were people saying it was 5GB and some saying 1GB. Since i only have an  8GB cap i won't be able to download it right away. (Note: my top internet speed is around 1.5mb/s tops)

3. The only game i have other than "Nintendo Land" is "Black Ops 2", will these need to be updated as well before i am able to use them.

If anyone can help me i would truly be grateful, thank you.

1. Sorry you can't, you'll have to deal with the time consuming updates, and what ever you do, do not turn off your system while updating.

2.I'm not quite sure on how many gigs it will take up since mine is all screwy.

3. I'm sure Nintendoland has an update I dunno about Black Ops 2 since I don't really like the franchise.

Well, people are saying you can't, but I was able to play Nintendo Land without connecting to the internet at all the first time.

I don't think it's officially been said how big it is, but the highest my internet goes is 300kb/s, and as an estimate I'd say it took me 2 hours.

You don't "need" to, but it's recommended, and for online play you do need to update them.

1. yes you can play the wii u without the update, but you will have NO Online features at all

2. 5 Gigabites, but you can always buy a external hard-drive if you're running out of space

3. you can't update the game if you don't have the Wii U Update, but if you do, you can play the game without the update, but its recommended seeing as it fixes bugs like crashes and glitches

Is there a way to view you internal storage? surely there is.

There is somewhere in the settings but at the moment I can't remember exactly where.

Only 15 minutes. At least I had it done in fifteen which was amazing since my internet is so bad.

1. yes, until next week when updates will download automatically.
2. 1GB, the space for updates inside the console is 5GB.
3. You can play them, but the updates would be recommended. Especially if you want to play blops online.

In settings, data management.

If i was downloading the update and lost connection, will it be able to reconnect and continue updating?

1.  No, but it will download in the background anyway.

2. It's around 1 gigabyte. Those rumours were blown way out of proportion.

3. They will need to be updated, but you can download the update while playing them and install it later.
