I would love to see a Mario Kart version for the Wii U? I enjoy playing the game on Wii. Anyone with me and what new features should they have on it?

Yes, we're with you because they've already announced that they're working on one!! Weeeeeeeee   

 

Using the gamepad to switch between items would be a simple but very useful feature IMO.  Obviously it could also be used to see an overview of the track and where racers are.  

 

One feature I think would be really neat is solving some kind of quick puzzle on the gamepad at different points on the tracks to open up secret passages/shortcuts.  You could also have the item boxes show the spinning item on your gamepad and not stop spinning until you touch it to stop it where you want to attempt to get the item you need.

I like your ideas, kokirii. The only problem that I have with your puzzle idea is that only one person can solve it, the controller of the gamepad. I think they should do away with the Balloon battles and put some new arenas for Coin Runners.

They will announce it at E3. Have a little more patience. 

 

But we can speculate. Aside from beautivul HD visuals I hope that we'll see improvement over the online infrastructure as well. Miiverse intergration etc.

 

Also, it couldn't hurt to do more courses than we're getting used to, with each of them more epic than before.

I swear all i can think of is a Mario Kart X Sonic & All Star scrossover, without the Sega characters though.

Maybe they'll do that. Mario and Sonic did make a few games for the Olympics, so maybe they'll make a Mario and Sonic racing game.

The driver looks at the TV doing the usual MK stuff

 

The caster or whatever the guy behind is called uses the gamepad which displays a rear view where the caster can aim at foes with items.

Nice! Can't wait! Hinkik's idea reminds me of the regular Wii game but with gamepad use.

I highly doubt they would do away with Balloon Battle since it is such a popular mode. If anything they will add new modes.
