CoD honestly ruined the FPS genre IMHO. Seriously, in the 90s they used to have games like Unreal Tournament, Doom, Quake, Turok, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and a number of others with large amounts of variety and different aesthetic appeal and even gameplay differences. Nowadays, its either CoD or games like CoD.
I know right? I have never been a shooter fan, but even I can see what CoD has done to the gaming industry.

Wow, even in real life it happens. Like hell it would end, its just the beginning, look at how many Sony fanboys gloat about their PS4, and they are the worst of the bunch. Watch, when Microsoft reveals theirs, it will be worse. Then PC elitist will come right in aswell.
This is why i just play Hyperdimension Neptunia, its a anime style console war with the big 3 and Sega. Now they get along.

You sound like a fanboy yourself when you say that not to mention hypocritical. Nintendo has its own share of fanboys who act just as pathetic. Mentioning all the other consoles and their fanboys but not Nintendo is just as ridiculous.

Wrong. Nintendo has fanboys just like all the other console manufacturers.
just alot less. but im in the boat that all but MS is fine. unless MS changes things i half expect them to release something poor and expect the fanboys to pick it up anyway.

aren't loyalists and fanboys the same thing? Anyway I was merely trying to rationalize and analyze this phenomenon of brand loyalty and console fanaticism of our current generation, because honestly it seems more like a political/religious ideology instead of groups of people trying to have some enjoyment in their lives.
I avoid using most gaming forums because it seems as if asking the wrong question will result in me and some others getting flamed/ganked by some other people who demand satisfaction.
Also in some ways console loyalists are sometimes not as bad as loyalists of a specific game title. To this day, despite being a Fallout fan myself, I'm still afraid to post anything on Fallout related forums because guaranteed some OG Fallout fan and some Fallout 3 fan might get offended over some little thing I may or may not have asked.

It's really sad how Nintendo has almost become the joke of the games industry in a way thanks to the overly large opinion that Wii is a kiddy console and has no place up against 360 and PS3. One time a friend and i were having a argumental discussion about whether the N64 or the SNES was better than a couple people laughed at us because "we were fighting over Nintendo consoles". Now im not saying the majority of consumers are all mindless zombies but when they don't even give Nintendo a chance, it really just aggravates me. Go on to just about any gaming meme page on Facebook and you will see just how much the Nintendo gets knocked around, either they pretend it doesn't exist or they bash it for being kiddy and having graphics so poor it could be rendered on MS paint. Im so sick of having to be that one guy who has to stand up to Nintendo only to get laughed at and be given probably some of the weakest comebacks i have ever seen directed at me.
Just saying my opinion, i have nothing against what console people decide to play.

Yeah Nintendo usually seems to get ridiculed the most which is a shame. If there is one thing that both the ps3 and xbox 360 fans have in common its that they take pleasure in making fun of Nintendo at every opportunity. Its situations like this that makes it hard for me to be unbiased even if I was never loyal to any consoles to begin with.
