Instead of creating multiple threads for every piece of news that comes out, I decided to make one that relates to every season eight/ the final season. It'd be helpful if you include any spoilers you encounter in a spoiler tag, for those who haven't finished season 7, or for those who want to get in the series.

Oh come on, no Dexter fans? 

 

The final season starts a month from now, you think fans of the show (I'm sure there's Dexter fans here). 

 

The latest trailer has a lot of foreshadowing in it.

Michael C. Hall said he would like it to end with Dexter getting hit by a bus and the credits rolling. I'm sure he was joking. I see it ending with Dexter on Deb's table. I just can't see Dexter dying by the police or being brought to justice. He might even runaway with Hannah.

I don't think he'd run away with Hannah because I remember the writers hinting at a bad ending for him saying something like "there's only so many ways a a serial killer's story would end and none of them are usually happy". I like the idea of Deb killing him, that would be interesting.

No matter how it ends, lots of fans (maybe even including you and I) will be disappointed. It happens with every big TV show out there, like when the sopranos ended everyone was angry that they didn't kill him off.

But I hope they don't give Dexter a happy ending I would want something more realistic than him driving off into the sunset with Hannah.

I think it would be predictable actually if Dexter got killed, since everyone is expecting him to be slaughtered to butchered. Him running away with Hannah.. would be a dislike-able ending, I agree with you. It'd be cool to see the series end with Dexter in the electric and him smiling at the audience and the theme song starts playing. Not every major TV show ends badly. House ended on a high-note, which I won't go into details. 

 

I just don't see Dexter getting "caught", they've already teased it last season that he's the Bay Harbor Butcher, and the police department already has some suspicion about him being the BHB. He's obviously going to be more meticulous and precise with how he kills people now. If anything, Deb might kill him and she'll be label as the BHB, snapping after two years of built up animosity towards Dexter.

I'm like the biggest fan ever! hahahah I spend all year waiting for Dexter, believe me it's really hard to wait around 9 months every year for the show to start! 

 

I look on this site at least 3 times a day for new info about the new (and finale) season! It's a really great site for keeping yourself updated and if you can't wait for the new season to start!  http://www.dexterdaily.com/

 

I would love to discuss thoughts and other things with you guys about this last season of the best show ever! Hahah I'm really hoping that there is a lot of Dexter fans on this site so this thread can get active!

Great season opening, great first episode.

Dr. Evelyn Vogel knows Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher. She's connected to Harry somehow.

Deb really took LaGuerta's death hard, she's pretty much broken and wants nothing to do with Dexter.

Dexter is slowly losing control of himself. He had bursts of anger throughout the episode. He even took it out on some random guy on the highway and almost choked him.

Batista and Quin rivalry coming because Quinn is banging Jamie (Who looks fantastic naked).

Deb seems to of gotten herself in deep trouble. Dexter ended up stabbing the thug's name in the hotel, which I forgot. It seems like they'll do another side story with Dexter/Deb/El Sapo.

Overall it was a fantastic season opening and this might be the best season, at least in my eyes.

They also teased at Deb confessing about LaGuerta's murder in a sneak peek, pretty interesting. Matthews seems like he'll play a bigger role, no Astor or Cody, and Masuka is still there for comedic relief!.
