EA did kill profit on purpose by spending money developing Crysis3 as well as other games for WiiU then cancelling just before release.

Don't get me wrong, most companies wouldn't do this, but this is not your run of the mill situation, EA board of directors is upset at Nintendo and want to hurt them, plain and simple.  They apparently would say no to profits just to spite another company.

You are giving EA too much credit and completely glossing over the fact that there is a reason they have a damaged relationship at the moment.

None of us know what's gone on behind the scenes between Nintendo and EA. I very much doubt any company including EA would sacrifice profits just to ruin a business relationship. There is obviously a rift that has developed between the two companies but I suspect the fault is probably on both sides.

Its ludicrous to think that members of the EA board are upset at Nintendo and want to hurt their business on purpose. I very much doubt they are risk profits just to spite another company whether its Nintendo or someone else. If anything you just come across as being vindictive towards a company that is out to make money the same as all other companies and has made business decisions which they feel are the right way to go for them but ones you don't agree with.

I don't neccessarily agree with all the decisions EA makes but I certainly wouldn't come up with conspiracy theories like you Nd others on forums tend to do.

We do know that Crisis 3 was close to be launched. Then EA, due to bad business relationship with Nintendo, decided to cancel the game.

They all ready spent money porting the engine. All the heavy work was done. The game was almost finished. EA choice? Cancelled. And now the game isn't meeting sells expectations. Profits affected? Yep.

It depends on how far development was. Despite the lack of a business relationship, EA did release NFS because it was already done.

I have no idea how far Crysis 3 was. Probably not far off.

I`m not one of those who believe that it`s just business. I also believe that EA is doing this because they feel like it; that they can neglect Nintendo once more and be happy.

It`s a business, but if it was all that, they wouldn`t waste a chance to make a profit. As i said in another thread, i do believe EA will regret this decision. And if that happens, investors won`t be happy about management.

According to CryTek, it was close to release.

EA released NFS because Criterion went all over the VG media circuit talking about and showing the game, and Crysis, according to Crytek, was ready for release but was cancelled.

It isn't conspiracy theory, anyone who pays attention to business can see these things happen all the time.

Wouldn`t be the first time a game got shown and then cancelled.

EA lost their money then.

Exactly. Very idiotic. Which is why I wonder if CryTeck and Nintendo could work together. CryTek likes the Wii U.

Their engine works on Wii U, so anything can happen.

Aren`t they working on Homefront 2? Maybe they can bring it to Wii U.
