After seeing so many hateful comments about Rodger Craig Smith's voicing Sonic, I was thinking about the other potential voice actors, I didn't really care but after looking for someone else who can become a better Sonic, maybe these guys have a chance?

 

I'm sure half of you don't know who these guys are so I'll introduce them.

 

 

Rodger Craig Smith - He is best known for voicing Chris Redfield from the Resident Evil games and Ezio Auditory from Assassin's Creed, he is currently voicing Sonic. And they are not liking him at all.

 

 

Troy Baker - You may have heard his voice while playing the bigger releases last year and this year, he voices alot of characters mostly with a cocky attitude, he's usually with Laura Bailey in some games even animes.

 

 

 

Yuri Lowenthal - He's better known as doing the voice of Sasuke from the Naruto series and Yosuke from Persona 4, he also voiced Ricken in Fire Emblem Awakening....(Mostly he always gets the roll of a coward character then killed off when he auditions for animes.)

 

 

Johnny Yong Bosch - He is VERY known for voicing Ichigo from Bleach and voiced Renton from Eureka 7. (And he was the black poweranger for a short time)

 

 

Liam O'Brien - He's known for voicing Garaa of the Sand from the Naruto series, he even voiced Olivia's future son from Fire Emblem Awakening and he sounds really good voicing a younger person.

 

 

Mathew Mercer - He is currently known for voicing Chrom, he also voiced Leon from RE6 and several animes, even younger wise cracking characters, I think it was called Star Oceon or something?

 

 

Josh Keaton - He is known for voicing Spider-Man from the Spectacular Spider-Man and Marvel VS Capcom 3, if you hear his voice of Spider-Man and see Sonic he does quite fit.

 

 

 

Todd Haberkorn  - He is actually my choice to be Sonic when i was seeking for potential voice actors, he is known for voicing Death The Kid from Soul Eater, when he voiced Yun from Street Fighter 4 he really does quite fit in.

 

 

Ryan Drummod - He is the very first Sonic ever to be voiced, (in a Sonic Videogame)  to me he is the Charles Martin of Sonic, sadly he was suppose to come back to audition Sonic Colors or Sonic Generations, but Sega just let him go for no reason. I still hopped he would return.

Ryan Drummand is pretty cool, but I really like Smith.  He won me over in Colours and does a fantastic sonic.

Griffith does a fine Shadow, but his Sonic sucked until the later years and I prefer the others over him.

Eh? I like Sonic's voice the way it is. Listening to Craig's voice makes me feel like Sonic is really cocky. But if I had to choose, I goes I'll go with Drummond. I never liked Griffith as Sonic at all.

Oh yes those hateful comments exist all over youtube if you search Colors or Generations movies, I really like him though.

Yeah I mean Rodger really fits with Sonic very well because now Sonic is has more experience over the years and has that attitude that Sonic is known for, I didn't like Griffith voicing Sonic at all so I didn't put him in the list.

You sure you're talking about Jayson Griffith? Cause Ryan voiced Sonic in Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 and Heroes, Jason Griffith is the 4kids english voice actor.

Here's my opinion on EVERY actor.

 

Smith - I will admit I was taken aback when I heard he was voicing Sonic, since I heard him first as badass Chris Redfield. I think he's really good, though, taking out the best of Drummond's snark and Griffith's severity and meshing them together really well. He's still the number one choice for Sonic at this point, at least in my opinion.

 

Baker - Well... I don't think he'd work too well, honestly. Baker honestly has too tough a voice to really capture Sonic. I think he'd be better fit for a character like Knuckles or Vector. Speaking of Baker, however, I love him as Espio.

 

Lowenthal - Lowenthal's got a really overdramatic kind of voice that worked well for Suzaku Kururugi or Simon, maybe, but wouldn't work with Sonic, seeing how he's always cocky and slightly full of himself. He would be my second choice if and only if I was put to gunpoint and was forced to make a choice.

 

Bosch - Very overdramatic voice again. Would've worked well for a character like Silver, however....

 

O'Brien - I... don't know how to put Liam's voice to words... all I know is that it would not work for Sonic. (See: Akihiko from Persona 3 or Kain from Final Fantasy IV (DS))

 

Mercer - Well... I haven't heard too much of this guy, so I don't have an opinion on him.

 

Haberkorn - Too nasally of a voice... I didn't like him when he was Death the Kid, so I probably wouldn't enjoy him as Sonic.

Morgan Freeman should voice all the characters.

 

And everything would be daaaaamn fiiiiiiine. And not a soul would complain about Sonic games ever again.
