I has SMB 2:LL for My wii, which gave me a discount for SMB 2:US. and yet, the two games are COMPLETELY different 
How the heck did that happen? Both the discount and the naming?

Do you know the history here? Lost Levels is the actual Mario 2 that was released in Japan. Nintendo of Japan thought Americans would think Super Mario 2 would be too hard and also it looked like the same game.. So we get Doki Doki panic reworked as a Mario game.
Now im not sure why you got discounted but sweet!

This is strange. Either a glitch happened or Nintendo's having some secret sale. Only discount I remember on SMB 2 US on the Wii U eShop is if you owned Super Mario World on Wii U VC. Which gave you a 50% discount.

I know that if you bought Super Mario World on the Wii U VC, you would get SMB2 for 50% off.
I will not die until I achieve something. Even though the ordeal is high, I never give in. Therefore, I die with no regrets~Ikaruga Prologue
