They did make Mario Tennis for the 3DS and they're making a Mario Golf right now...

I'm pretty sure you can. The characters are different and they have their own story.
And yes, these games are available or about to be available (Golf) on 3DS.

Yes, but if olimar has a role in pikmin 3 (for example he's lost and you need to find him) you won't have any connection with olimar and probably won't care if you do find him or not.

I want a new Mario baseball. I loved the gamecube one and its a shame it appears to be one of the last Mario sports we're going to be getting. Strikers and Baseball are left.
Baseball and Strikers are the only Mario Sports games i can really get into other than Mario Kart.

Mario Sports Mix for Wii U, except not as... mediocre would be welcome.
I don't want tennis, golf, etc. as single games.
Make a base, add more sports as DLC if you really want, the Wii U is capable of this.

Another soccer game would be cool! Wouldn`t mind one day seeing a Nintendo x Sega/Sonic soccer game, too!
