Rubbish Article Saying Wii U Should Abandon MiiVerse in favor of twitter, facebook, and vine asap.

http://thenextweb.co...on-as-possible/

What the Wii U needs is some hype. Some excitement. Players sharing their experiences on Facebook, Twitter, Vine and any other number of social networks to show the rest of the world what they’re missing out on.

What it doesn’t need, at least right now, is Miiverse.

MiiVerse is about a nintendo community, not about posting a picture of the empty food plate leftover from your dinner at Applebees. The only part I agree about is perhaps some social sharing options to a couple services, but this should be integrated within MiiVerse itself and very limited. It should not take away from the charm and general feel of MiiVerse.

If you don’t own a Nintendo Wii U, it’s almost impossible to see what’s happening in the Miiverse. There’s now a browser-based version of the service, which outsiders can visit to see a sample of posts, but it lacks the finesse and polish offered by Twitter, Facebook or Vine.

I think the idea of MiiVerse as a fairly closed community is the idea, you don't want to open it up to people who don't even own a 3DS or Wii U. Yes, Nintendo allows users/guests to browse MiiVerse on a tablet, phone or desktop computer but you only can view a few sample posts and then would need a NNID to particpate further, as it should.

I don't think we really need the Wii U to turn into a social media device. It seems some people need to remember the main point of a gaming console is to play games. Also for hype, a new advertising campaign might help.

Sad that people think everything needs to go viral nowadays.

Why can't we just be annoyed that Nintendo are inept at advertising their console?

I agree that it would be wise to add Fb/twitter compatability, but not in favour of Miiverse.

Just another low-traffic site trying to come up with clickbait.

twitter would be ok & vine, fb though is for idiots & fools !

i don't agree with abandoning Miiverse but some sort of feed would give it more exposure.

No because if they move to places like Twitter or Facebook, it will have loads of fanboys on there.

Stupidist idea ever, I love MiiVerse, they could intergrate a sharing device for Facebook, Twitter ect but not replace it.

(my opinion now, sorry) i sincerely hate Facebook, social media, etc. i think it's really ruining lots of things from people's lives in general all the way up to my wrestling shows. having gotten that off my chest..... i love miiverse! check mine all the time. it was a good idea to be able to share thoughts/pics on new and old favorite games. isn't this what Nintendo kind of is nowadays? the brand for the "rest of us?"

Wow. Sound advice. Remove your one good online feature you have. Great.

A better suggested, as stated above, is to have Favebook integration. So when you post on Miiverse, you have the OPTION to share that post on Facebook.

A step up from that is to have a Miiverese app for Nintendo fans can install and read Miiverse posts via Facebook.

That site is very biased. They are only saying it because they dislike the Wii U. That's like saying Microsoft should do away with Xbox Live chat.

This is probably written by a fanboy of Microsoft or Sony that wants Nintendo to get rid of anything that differentiates the Wii U from the competition.

Miiverse is a huge bright spot on the Wii U... The sense of community with other Nintendo gamers, asking for help in a game, to sharing interesting scenes from inside games.

it would be down right suicide for Nintendo to remove one of their best features... If anything I'm probably going to end up blocking my friends on facebook who own PS4 because they keep spamming me with videos showing how terrible they are at shooters.
