Ive been thinking about that announcement and I still couldn't figure out why, they didn't even give us an answer.
Let me be clear on this. Its not Nintendo's fault. Clearly it isn't, because what have you been seeing lately in Nintendo consoles? DLC. Including the Wii U,
Assassin's Creed 3 on Wii U has DLC even thought it was in January they still got it in the nick of time,
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate has DLC
Resident Evil Revelations has DLC
Zen pinball 2 has DLC
Injustice on Wii U is getting DLC in the summer
New Super Luigi U is available as DLC and retail
Ubisoft is listing Pre Order Bonuses on ALL consoles including the Wii U
They are not against DLC at all, they do it better than others. They didn't go to Ubisoft headquarters and cancel all their pre order bonuses.
The thing that troubles me more is that these developers are the same developers who made Armored Edition, remember when they promoted the hell out of it at E3 last year? Batman Armored Edition sold well next to AC3 selling 10K. Why even list it for Wii U if you are not allowing Wii U owners have the full experience on other consoles, its like taking out Catwoman in Armored Edition. I don't think Nintendo has a thing with the character Deathstroke since he is in INJUSTICE, you know, with his brutal super shooting you point black in the face 2 times then impaling you with his sword and guns you down? They didn't censor it on Wii U so there is no problem there. And if there was a problem with DLC for the Wii U then why did Ubisoft list every Wii U pre order will be receiving DLC codes or atleast list the DLC in the Eshop when its available.
It troubles me that they didn't even give us a reasonable answer, cause I know Warner Brothers showed they have a good business relationship with Nintendo, but taking out DLC on a specific console for no reason just begs the question to be answered. All consoles should have the equal experience, not be held back and buy it on another console. I do not want Warner Brothers to despise Nintendo like the rest of these western developers are doing now.
