Lots of wit while at the same time showing the huge potential of doing just about anything you want with this game and within the world. Pretty exciting actually.

I barely saw this right now because there is now a Miiverse community for Disney Infinity.

What's the other part of the game even about? The entire game really should be the Toy Box. Also, doesn't this game use NFC like Skylanders?

Yes, it uses NFC. I assume there is a single player or multiplayer campaign, but the ability to do whatever you want with Toy Box seems to be the seller, at least for me. Plus I love disney.

I didn't really think much of it when it was first announced, but now I really want it. I might end up getting it on the Wii, as I don't have a Wii U and it's cheaper.

Where Skylanders comprises just figurines and an NFC portal that translates them into the game, Disney Infinity is more complex than that: there are power discs, playset pieces and hexagonal skin and item discs as well. The playset pieces unlock themed levels, the power discs add buffs and abilities to characters when stacked underneath them, and the hexagonal discs unlock vehicles, items, wallpapers and more to use in creating your own levels.

 It looks like it's a lot of fun but only if you invest a lot of time into the game.  If you can download things other people have created and play through their levels then I'd definitely be interested.

Ok, that's what I thought it would be like. Sometimes i forget that this is coming to other platforms besides Wii, Wii U, and 3DS because Sony and Microsoft don't market the game outside of a tiny square on the Xbox Dashboard.

Looks a bit like a 3D Little Big Planet plus Disney characters!

 

I'll be keeping my eye on this one and see what the reviews are.

 

Also, if it gets long running DLC support, I'm in.
