Not likely.
Microsoft's just getting started on Kinect, and Sony stated the PS3 would have a ten year life cycle. What they meant by that is up to interpretation

Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.

I think what Microsoft would do is use the Xbox 360 for part of the Kinect life cycle and use a next gen Xbox to further increase what it could do. All they have to do is keep the Kinect Port.

That makes sense. Although they might just wait another couple of years, 'cause the Xbox 360 sales are doing pretty good right now. Last time I heard anyway.

Uh...didn't Sony and Microsoft both say that they were going to hold off for a couple years before even announcing a new system?

Jack Tretton, of Sony, has said[1] that the Wii U's appearance at E3 2011 will not impact on rolling out a PS3 successor.

If anything, we won't see a PS3 console successor until Microsoft releases their Xbox 360 successor.

I don't know what Microsoft's stand is on the Wii U or PS3 or 8th Gen. They are starting to role with Kinect, which has potential. I like to think they have a neutral stand to things, seeing as I hardly ever find an article where they bash, but I don't look into Microsoft, in terms of gaming, that much anyway.
