I am not sure what to think about this. I don't download DLC because I am absolutely against it... but this is Nintendo and they've not used DLC in a bad way yet. I'm torn here...

What do you guys think?

Additional areas to explore? New Dungeons? Different costume? I don't know.

New dungeons? If you don't get them at the start of the game then it would be like using cheat codes to skip an area.

This is fine in my book, only if done right like how they are handling Super Luigi U. Tons of fresh content and a different experience from it. Otherwise, if it's anything less you could hurt the brand.

What's wrong with DLC??? As long as they don't sell it for £5.00 on the same day as the game came out then am fine with it. The DLC being free is even better.

If they did add a dungeon as DLC, and I seriously doubt they would, it wouldn't necessarily be essential to the game. It could be something like a extra challenging area that really didn't do much other than give you bragging rights when you complete it... maybe you get an in game trophy that doesn't do anything?

I don't know, man!! I'm just trying to come up with ideas here.

If they do, they won't make us pay for it. For Nintendo so far, DLC means expanding the game after it was launched to improve and maintain the experience.

A new zeldo game every year  based on the one you bought, costing about half as much as a brand new disc zeldo game.

Everyone is always complaing about how they want a new zeldo.

Yeah. I think Super Luigi U will be my first ever Nintendo DLC.

Oh! Nope. No. I downloaded the New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC, the classic level pack thingy.

As far as I know, the DLCs Nintendo are making are pretty big leaps over the original games. (Though we haven't seen much yet).

Im fine with this, and you all should be as well

The difference between Nintendo doing DLC and other companies doing DLC is that Nintendo will release a full 100% game filled wih rich content and then further down the road they will release a quality amount of DLC

They wont pull any of this "Day 1 DLC" shenanigans....stuff that should be on the disk at launch

A mini quest set after the events of the game or a side quest where you play as another character? I'm game for DLC like that.

I hope they are careful about it.  Fire Emblem Awakening had paid DLC so they're no stranger to what kind of money they can get.  In hindsight only 6-7 of those DLC maps were actually worth the price.  I do think they'll be far more careful about Zelda though.

I suppose something like a new dungeon or sidequest would be nice.  Maybe a Master Quest later down the road.

As long as it's good and doesn't feel like I'm being ripped-off or I'm not experiencing the full game without the DLC. If the DLC is for new dungeons or areas they could require you to be a certain point in the game before you can visit it. I doubt they would implement booster type DLC.
