What I don't understand is how people think that because DKC is a sidescroller, people automatically think it is less of a game! I was not let down. Sidescrollers can be just as good, and sometimes BETTER than 3D games. The game will be Amazing! People who thought it was going to be another Metroid after DKCR sold more than all the primes Combined, were just insane. If you look at my earlier posts here, I suggested DK in everyone, but everyone else told me otherwise to the point I believed them. That's what happened to most here. I hope platinums talent isn't wasted on starfox, although I'm sure if they do It itwill change my opinion of the franchise.
Why do you care? It's somebody elses opinion, its not yours. Get over it. People got themselves disappointed because nobody predicted it to take 3 years for them to make another Donkey Kong game. And you thinking that people are insane for thinking their next game would be Metroid is extremely dumb. People are insane? Accept other peoples opinions, you're not forced to agree, but you surely don't need to argue. Everyone has a mind of their own for a reason. I honestly don't know anyone who thought this game would be Donkey Kong, are all those 100's of people insane as well?
Like Shokio said, not many people buy a Nintendo system for Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong is a game that should have come later as a holiday game once the console has a larger amount of units sold so it will have a larger audience. Metroid is a game that will sell systems to hardcore gamers debating whether to buy a Wii U or not.
