“There is no change to our decision to discontinue Online Pass.  It is dead. As we said a few weeks ago, none of our new EA titles will include online pass, and we are removing it from existing games as well. Nothing else on today’s news, but did want to be clear that our online pass decision was based on player feedback, and there’s no change.”

Could this be the start of EA finally changing their ways

Nope, about a week ago they came out and said they didn't want to be hated anymore, 3 days later they outraged thousands of scrabble fans by ruining the scrabble app :P

They still are a terrible company, just slightly less terrible now :)

I was once known here as KillerMario, but since I really like Banjo-Kazooie, I changed my display name to show them my respect :)

This is very concerning actually, we know Microsoft had EA in thier back pocket and we all know EA don't just do nice things, we also know Microsoft are updating the Xbox One on day one to remove the DRM. So it's that simple Microsoft can add and remove DRM with a simple update, we also know Microsoft can change it's policies without the input of the user whenever they want, give it a year or two when the Xbox One actually has an install base and people have paid for it, if they added the DRM back in there would be nothing we could do about it cos' in the user agreement which you have to agree to, to use the console it basically says we can do what the hell we want, I really don't like this, I can't seem to shake the fact that's somethings going on we don't know about.
