Code of Princess was Agatsuma Entertainment’s first attempt at making a game designed for core gamers. They pulled together a strong team – the creators of Guardian Heroes and former Capcom artist Kinu Nishimura to design the game’s world. The gamble paid off for Agatsuma Entertainment. "In Japan, it sold so-so, but in the US Code of Princess sold beyond our expectations," producer Yasuo Nakajima said to Siliconera.

I asked Nakajima if he was planning on making Code of Princess 2. "Kinu-san already has ideas about Code of Princess 2 in mind already," Nakajima replied. "If Code of Princess 2 goes into development maybe it will be for consoles like PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. I want to develop it a sequel to Code of Princess for core gamers like fans that are anticipating Dragon’s Crown now."

Code of Princess 2 is not currently in development since Agatsuma just finished Farewell Umihara Kawase. Nakajima said if they develop Code of Princess 2 for consoles they would need a bigger team and if the timing works out they will try to bring the Guardian Heroes developers back for the sequel.

I really enjoyed Code of Princess on the 3DS, I'm happy to see it having a possible sequel for next gen consoles.......Even though its just a funny story that isn't really serious and the only thing that this game was made because of how the princess looked......barely clothed.

Did Code of Princess end up coming out in Europe/Australia?

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.

I think it came out in the UK/EU as a digital only title. I don't know about Australia. I live in the UK but have a North American 3DS so I imported it.

Yeah I think you're right about it being digital only, I can access the UK store if it's not on the Australian one anyway so no big deal there.
