Yes, the Wii generation I had quite a fallout with Nintendo. All of the series that were so great on the Gamecube and before, became very mediocre on the Wii and it bothered me. Especially when Super Smash Bros. Brawl wasn't all of that great, and then when Animal Crossing City Folk was released I had lost a lot of faith in Nintendo. Super Smash Bros. Melee and Animal Crossing GCN were the big GCN games that kept me playing the system for years. Brawl and City Folk were not in any way sufficient follow-ups. City Folk was an awful sequel, in fact. Many of the other Wii titles would disappoint me to various levels, like Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 and Skyward Sword. They were good games, but were majorly lacking in some areas.

Another thing that really bothered me about the Wii was the gimmicks. It really wasn't until Skyward Sword where I felt like the motion controls were anything more than gimmickry that honestly just got in my way and made me want to play the games even less.

I can't say the fallout is over. I was eager to purchase the 3DS, but I still have many disappointments with the games they're releasing on it. Not anywhere near the level of the Wii, but still there... The Wii U, I'm still very undecided on. I'll have to see Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. 4, and the new Zelda on it before I can really judge. Animal Crossing could also use much improvement from New Leaf (although I do think it is a fantastic game), but I don't necessarily have faith we will see those improvements, given City Folk.

Im horribly embarassed to admit that after the NES, i got a Genesis to try something different. Sonic was ok, Deseret Strike was awesome. Then i got a PS1 for RE and wwe raw. Then of course i had to get PS2 for GTA and Gran Turismo.

Long story short, im looking at Game Informer's review for Mario Kart DD and told the wife i was tired of the blood and guts games. Father's day rolls around (years ago) and i get a GC with MKDD, Sunshine and i ain't looked back. After WW i've been on a mission to claim all the mario and Zelda's i've missed. As of recently-- mission accomplished.

Please forgive me Nintendo

I never had a fallout with Nintendo. I did usually always own Sony's consoles alongside Nintendo's. But I still always played Nintendo more. The Wii like many people have said kinda never held me down as being something super amazing like I thought of their other ones. That never really bothered me too much though because I have always been more into their portables since I was a kid.

I've always loved Nintendo and haven't had a fall out with them yet.

The ultimate hand-held gaming device is the Nintendo 3DS. I purchased mine in February of this year.

OMG I GOT MINE IN FEB TOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree my story is pretty much the same as the OP's the only two Nintendo consoles I ever dilibratly missed was the Virtual Boy and the Wii. The Wii was a horrible weak childish mess with no support whatsoever, I think my toaster was more powerful than that thing. I did own a Nintendo 64 but not for long, it broke and I just never replaced it, APART FROM THAT I have owned every Nintendo console ever, even the re-designs! :D
