EA: "Wii U is a Box that’s out of sync for EA’s online future"

Oh come on, they release a few shoddy ports on the Wii U and then wonder why nobody is playing them? If its a question of the number of players, then why not allow Wii U players to compete against PS3 players? Oh right, because games like FIFA weren't ported from the current release of the game so it was incompatible with existing versions.

Even Need for Speed Most Wanted, probably the only decent port, the reason few people bother with it is because we already have the game on another console.

There is also the huge factor that I have been collecting friends on Xbox Live for 7 years, on Wii U as its a brand new online system I have had no time to collect any at all. With the limited number of games released, I have little ability to find new players either.

I agree that the Wii U online system could be improved, but its very early days so to just dismiss it like this is seriously unfair. I'm sure once Mario Kart 8 comes out I will start building up my friends list. Until then there just aren't enough games designed around traditional online gaming to make any judgement on Nintendo Network as a platform.
