DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE! Forget Man of Steel. Pasific Rim was amazing and you need to go watch it before the summer is over cause this really made my Summer of 2013. Love giant mechas? watch the movie, love giant monsters? watch the movie. To me Pasific Rim is like how huge Star Wars was back in the 70's. Go out and watch it. I am buying that Bluray version day one and watch it for years to come. You know what the best part is, eveyone else is gonna do Mecha movies for years and years until we get tired of seeing it but god damn Del Toro is a god among movie making.

No thanks, the plot sounds terrible and so does the dialogue from the trailers I've seen.

So you're looking for story in an action blockbuster that is meant to pay homage to mech anime, godzilla, and other stuff?

I'm planning on seeing it. :) My bro has been obsessed with going to the movies lately, I'm surprised he hasn't brought this one up. Kaijuu and Mechs are pretty much my childhood. @_@

I would've seen it if it was an anime. Animated by MADHOUSE.

Just because it's an action blockbuster doesn't mean it should have a complete lack of substance. It just looks like a generic CGI-fest, nothing more.

It's worth a watch. It is not fantastic with a very deep story, but it is good. The have a good balance of fighting and story, even though i'd rather see more fighting. It's just a fun movie if you don't think about it too much.
