Sexy Hype, besides a few friends i haven't heard much about it in real life, but on the internet everyone is hyping over it. Compared to GTA V and Skyrim my friends were hyping all over that game so much. Pokemon X and Y not so much. But the internet is booming.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm excited but I'm not hyped like I am for any other game, (Saints Row IV yusssssss) I'm the one who likes to be spoiled by all the details, that goes for any game

I don't get excited for the pokemans anymore even though the game is in 3D it's just a paint job over the same old house and plus I didn't like black 2 or white 2 those games made me realize that I'm a original 150 kind of guy that being said I'm still going to buy the game

I can't tell if that's a sentence or not. Also, I think HYPEHYPEHYPEHYPEHYPEHYPEHYPE. I'm CAN'T WAIT! Why does everybody just like 1st and 2nd gen?

I can't speak for  others but I like 1st and 2nd gen because that's what I grew up with and I think that they went overboard with adding new pokemans isn't there over 600 now during the first and second gen someone could say the name of any pokeman and we would know exactly which pokeman they were talking about and they pokemon just keep getting crazier and crazier

Really? This argument again? That the newer gens are crazy? The first gen had, and this is off of the top of my head: 

A mole that grew into 3 moles, a sea mine that grew a giant pimple with a face, an upside down pokeball, a pile of gunk, a literal bull, a pair of eggs and a palm tree, etc.

 

Gen 1 had great Pokemon like Pikachu, The starters, Dragonite but it also gave us the stinkers mentioned above.

 

Compared to this lazyness of Gen 1, let's see the two hated gen V designs, shall we?

An icicle with snow on it that resembles an ice cream cone

a bag of garbage that had gained sentience through radiation

A literal buffalo

A cell that grows in size and complexity as it evolves.

 

In terms of well designed Pokemon, Gen V gave us the Lilligant Family,  Accelgor, Escalvier, Bisharp, Haxorus, and the list goes on. The craziness that you claim isn't craziness, it's Game Freak being forced to think in the designs and not just go "HERP HERE'S A FISH HERP HERE'S A RAT HERP HERE'S A CAT HERP HERE'S A POKEBALL"

 

 

 

On topic, I'm very much looking forward towards Pokemon X/Y's release. I loved Black/White but was disappointed by the way the execution was done in Black 2 story-wise. Black 2 to me felt like it was content overload and missed out on continuing, at least in my opinion, upon the morality that was presented in Pokemon Black with N. Hopefully X can find some balance between B/W's unique spark and B2/W2's content overload.

Agreed, but I thought you said when B2 released that the story was really good? 

Pokemon X/Y is one of my top anticipated games of this year. I can't wait to get it on launch day!

I'm going to have to request that N, 3Dude, and nintendo3DS cease the current argument. It's turning this thread into the usual "Y I THINK POKEMAN SUK" and "Y I THINK POKEMAN DOESNTNT SUC" drivel that oh so many Pokemon-related threads fall into.

 

From here on, either answer the thread's question, or get out and take it to private messages.

You were insulted because I said people who enjoy pokemon dont have an evil poisoned swirling pit of nothingness where their heart and soul should be.

In otherwords, in jest, I said the reason I dont like pokemon was because I had no soul, there was nothing valid about my opinion beyond I dont personally like pokemon, and Even I was becoming interested in what X and Y has to offer.

I'm not all that hyped about it. Yeah, it looks great, and it would be a triple A title for my 3DS, I just don't get as excited about a new pok'emon game as I use to.
