Do you live in Japan or plan to import? Because Monster Hunter Frontier G is only in Japan. And it's not a new game, consider it an expansion to Monster Hunter Frontier. Just buy Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for now, because we most likely won't see another one for a while. There are many that don't see the light of day overseas.

Yeah. This isn't the first Monster Hunter game that hasn't been released outside of Japan. The game will be releasing on the PS3 and Wii U in Japan later this year.

I only hope the chinese cryengine3 game comes over here (Europe n' America) preferably on Wii U since I love to play MH without all the rainbow on the main screen, and that game would look even more beautiful without a HUD, but would still get it for PC if it came here :)

Monster Hunter Frontier G is basically a large expansion/sequel (sort of depends how you look at it) of Monster hunter Frontier.   I believe it checks to make sure the player lives in the certain regions its been released, Japan for instance, before it lets them play it on PC.  You'd have to some work with proxies or something to fool the game to let you play.  The Wii U is of course region locked.

Really, until Capcom says something, don't assume its coming here.  They've given their reasoning for not bringing Monster Hunter Frontier over, and while the MH fanbase has grown quite a bit with MH3U, something like Frontier G is still rather unlikely.  Unless it also uses Nintendo's servers like MH3U, but I get the idea that it doesn't.

Even if it does come, it would be awhile before it comes west.  Capcom isn't so brazen to release another monster hunter over here when their last one is still kicking.  I wouldn't expect another MH until next year at the earliest.  Even then, it wouldn't mean that MH3U is obsolete.  The list of monsters is different between the two games, and weapons also work differently between them.

Its just the G release of the 2007 monster hunter frontier. Likely a port of the 2010 360 port. Its massively multiplayer monster hunter. Which is cool i guess but....

The game is based off of old ps2 assets and the old ps2 mohunt engine (at least the pc one is, wouldnt be surprised if its switched mtframework, the models and textures are the same though). I would much rather try and get the new cry engine 3 monster hunter online out of china.

Its really not a new monster hunter, and i really wouldnt go out of the way for this one, as i suspect it will lack frontiers key component: regular game updates. it may just be a collection of all of frontiers updates/missions over the years greatest hits style.

Id hold out for mh4.

Wow that Cry engine 3 MH online looks awesome.

How can they keep so many different versions alive

I would like mh4 also, but seems it only be comming to the 3DS

It's pretty much exclusively a Japanese title at the moment so by the time you complete everything MH3U has to offer I still doubt MHFG will be released outside Japan. MH3U is by far one of the best games on the Wii U if not the best right now and you should definitely pick it up.
