This sounds sooooooo good, its a damn shame its exclusive to the Xbox One......Then again i don't want it to be with Nintendo since they would downgrade the hardcore look of KI3.

Julio, you do realize that Killer Instinct and Killer Instinct Gold were both released on Nintendo platforms (and arcade machines), right?

Nintendo wouldn't have waited over a decade to release a free to play (with micro transactions up the a** ) sequel when fans had been clamoring for a new one. Also, they wouldn't have chose some mediocre studio over the original studio when said original studio had repeatedly voiced their desire to make a sequel but kept getting turned down. So yeah, try again.

This isn't 1990, Nintendo only did that to keep the games more accessible to the public. It works. But they no longer change third party games much.

I myself have waited so long for a new, true next gen KI game.

they have taken something that everyone wanted, that had so much potential... and trashed it.

 

The graphics are pathetic, the character designs very uninspired and generic vs. the original designs for their respective times, and the game doesn't offer anything great or different.

 

The orginal Killer Instinct was instantly popular first and foremost because of the revolutionary, insanely amazing graphics.  then there was the pretty happening musical score, the Monday night Football announcer voice, the huge combo system, the multi-tiered combat arenas, the amazing and radically different, though still appealing character designs, and the balance of it all.

 

the new one seems like a quick way to take pent up demand and instead of satisfying demand, simply bait and switch just to get fans to buy an X1.

 

Free to Play KI? That really, really sucks.  Can't even begin to describe how pathetically stupid and lame that is.

 

Then the graphics looks like a mess.  the game play doesn't seem to offer anything new or unique, the character designs are a backward step ... FROM THE 90's EVEN.  Sheesh.

 

Any new KI game should at the very least offer the best graphics the hardware can possibly muster.  given its heritage, I would say that is bare minimum it should offer.  Then, the character designs should be something appealing.  Like the kind of designs you can build franchises on and possibly even toys that people will want to buy.  Not... this.

 

I personally have waited so long for a new KI game to be revealed.

BUT... that new KI music on X1 is SICK! in a good way

I never happened to play the original KI game and I don't know what to expect from the new one. It looks fairly decent to me. But the main theme is a piece of absolute awesomeness \m/

For a metal dude like me it's enough reason to purchase Xbox One and KI.

Nah. Save yourself $500 and just buy the music from iTunes when it inevitably comes out.

Or you could purchase the X1. Its looking like a decent console. But you won't have to purchase the KI game - you just have to purchase each character to make this FREE to play title actually FUN to play. Lol

Hm.. Is that officially confirmed information ?

I would love to have the actual disc in my collection. Free to play usually means digital distribution.

this game looks great. but i wish it was on the wii u and 3ds instead. by having nintendo and retro studios make it.
