I was just thinking.

 

 

Here's what I'm imagining:

 

take a Wavebird, give it a rechargeable battery and shrink the battery compartment so it isn't in the way, add select and home buttons (and a 4th trigger), and make it act like a normal pro controller. And have purple as an option for colour.

No. The gamepad is the best controller ever designed IMHO. And if someone feels the "need" for a different controller layout, the pro controller is better than the gcn pad. It was the best of its day. But it's been surpassed.

i'm sick of hearing about the gamecube controller. The Gamepad and Pro controllers are superior in every way. People need to learn new play styles.

Just thought I would ask. I honestly don't know if I would or not, but it would be awesome if it was bundled with Wind Waker HD.

I'd buy it if Nintendo started releasing GameCube Virtual Console games, or maybe if it worked with Smash 4. Since I'm really comfortable with using the GameCube controller with Melee and Brawl.

Not really. Im just not a huge fan of the gamecube. Im a huge fan of a select few games from the cube, but, yeah, my cube collection was pretty itty bitty compared to ps2/xbox. The only games i had that even used the analog shoulders were the rouge squadron games.

Id be fine just playing them on the gamepad.

i dont think we need a controller for the few games that use them. It will be easier (and cheaper) just to remake the game that uses the new controls

I wouldn't buy it just to have it unless... Perhaps it came in an awesome color, or I wanted more controllers for multiplayer. Which probably won't happen as I have the gamepad, pro, and a couple of wiimotes and nunchucks, along with a classic controller if necessary.

Nope, I think the Pro controller is just fine.
