Customizable characters, the ability to have gangs and being able to commit crimes are all I need to know that this is going to be an excellent game. Looks like the online world is going to be massive.

Who else is buying this game?

the multiplayer looked cool but I wish they would have given concrete details like how many players and stuff I stood up all night for that because I thought it was livestream only like Call of Duty's then I realized it was just a trailer and know I'm kind of disappointed but whatever the multiplayer looks cool it sucks that I have to wait two weeks after I get the game to play multiplayer but whatever its cool

Er... is this gta5 or a seperate online gta?

Ah, question answered in vid.

I kinda went on a media blackout after the first couple batches of screens... Those gta5 screens look a lot better than this.

Oh well, gta has never been a super good looking franchise anyways, id much rather they compromise visuals for stuff like whats all shown here anyways.

Yeah, this actually looks really good. Good enough for me to finally choose over getting my gta mess around fix from vice city/stories.

I really want this.

Which is a major bummer. As unless this thing comes out on wii u, or heck, magically the vita, Id never have time to get into all this conent.

Without a private viewing screen, id have to wait until the kids went to bed, then squeeze in playtime, provided the wife didnt want to watch/do something herself, so maybe every other night, before i had to go to bed so I can get up and go to work.

tell your mom it's an accurate reflection of how global capitalism terrorizes people and you're activating your inner source of deep empathy by playing it.

Yes, because the non capitalistic areas of the world are just having a great time of it.

you're so cute ^^ socialism and capitalism black and white eh? List me these "socialist" countries that don't have any capitalism. Even North Korea has capitalism creeping in.

ugh define your terms. there are a billion ways to define capitalism. i think of it more in a cultural/value-system sense (ie, profits > environment/people - see shareholder primacy within corporate legal charters) instead of an economic framework. "pure" capitalism as i understand it is when you have an unregulated market (ie, companies that destroy rainforests suffer zero consequences and get rich until the forest is gone). a socialist structure is highly regulated to protect whatever the people value. one nice blend is in germany 50% of decisions the board makes have to be voted on by the people in the corp (like a union but different).

here's a cool new idea. http://www.bcorporation.net/

these are semantics. the question is what social structures maximize quality of life and sustainability. this is completely off topic and we should quit.

Just try to explain to your mom that you are fully aware that it is just a video game and that you aren't actually influenced by anything you do in it.

Good luck,

Tell your mom that psychology studies show that this kind of parenting screws up kids and ask her to have a sit down and a non-hierarchical discussion about boundaries and agreements based on reason rather than authority.

Too late, she's already programmed in her in her mind that when the words "Grand Theft Auto" come up, it triggers a response that immediately disregards anything placed in front of her...other words include "Coffee" "Can we go?" And "Leave me alone" lmao

I'll probably end up downloading it from the Xbox Store when they convert from Ms Points to the currency system. Hopefully then I can make purchases for full games without a credit card
