Just a thought. Might be useful for artists and people that have a hard time reading the current gamepad.

A higher resolution is problably out of the question. it could use the old resolution for old games, but I don't know if the screen video bandwith is enough for a higher resolution.

I wouldn't buy any kind of new gamepad if nintendo released one, the current gamepad is fine.

I do hope they come out with a battery accessory though.

The thing is already big. For artists that wan't more space they could just make a peripheral, say a drawing tablet specifically for that. I don't see that happening. Second issue, a higher resolution or having an option to up the DPI is the only thing that would fix that issue. Text in games are formatted to be viewed in HD so the pad itself needs to be HD to display the text more properly. I think the text is highly readable myself though even if the GP isn't HD.

Anyway no I wouldn't buy one I don't want to hold a mammoth in my hands, that would be uncomfortable.

Nope. Even for artists, you can just zoom in. Text could be fixed with settings... The Gamepad right now is already borderline with its weight. Lighter than it looks, but you kinda notice the weight if you play all day...

Eh, I don't think so.

Maybe I would buy a GamePad that was slightly larger (just the screen, the rest needs to be the same or smaller), lighter, with a higher res screen (if they can do two GamePads, they can do higher res), extendable stylus, the longer lasting battery built in, analogue triggers and a stronger rumble feature.

Basically, I'm asking for a "GamePad 2.0", not an XL.

Absolutely not. It's big enough as is.

Some people always have a cellphone on them. I'm so awesome I always have a 3DS.

Don't you think it would be more logical for them to release a game pad mini instead. A lot of people still complain about the size so....

I probably wouldn't if it was nothing but a larger size. But I'd totally get one if it had analog triggers, better battery life, better connection range (although that's also the console itself), and was cheap enough.
