First of all there are people like my self who do want the best possible experience but refuse to spend money on upgrading a PC or to use an inferior and poor OS like Windows and rather use a Mac with OS X.
I died a little
What the hell is this hot garbage?
The first paragraph is a rambling mess full of fractured sentences turgid assumptions, and vacous logic.... And its REPEATED FIVE TIMES.
Kid, think about what you are going to write before you start hammering on the keyboard.
NO ONE HAS SAID THE SAME EXACT THING AS ME, STOP PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH, you have neither the vocabulary nor the comprehension to do it.
I never, NEVER, NOT ONCE, used or implied the word 'insult' or 'attack'. You know, like that guy you are claiming said 'the same exact thing as me'
I NEVER, stated, or implied he said the line up was 'bad' (which by the way, meh is a statement expressing boredom or apathy, he called Sony's and ms's line up boring, quit being a frothing tool.)
I NEVER stated whether I agreed or disagreed with his assertion.
I DID STATE that I dont care about ANY of that garbage you keep trying to put in my mouth. I DONT CARE.
I DID STATE, that I didnt like the fact he didnt pay the competition the respect Nintendo historically does, and engaged in comparative pr, that nintendo has historically stayed above.
YES, THATS RIGHT, that last little aside, that you only 'think' I have a problem with, and then dismissed to once again cluelessy persue everything else and the kitchen sink, IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN SPECIFICALLY STATING I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH.
that 'political correctness' you state is so trivial has been Nintendo's most defined pr posture since they started. Nintendo has ALWAYS been above the petty nonsense of their competitors, and ALWAYS treated them with the utmost respect, even when they were acting like kids throwing a temper tantrum in comparison, Nintendo, always, ALWAYS, took the high road. I CARE ABOUT THAT. I WILL NOT 'BUCK IT'.
Can you understand me now?
Actually, in the first paragraph I used repetition as a literary device for emphasis. In terms of the point I was making, there was no repetition, it was different aspects of the same subject. Actually, usually only think for about 30 seconds to a minute before I post. If I wait any longer I usually end up coming up with too many points and then forgetting half of them and it all just gets very messy. I will agree on the fractured sentences. I actually find it very strange that that happened considering people usually think I have run on sentences (I often somewhat draw them out for certain reasons). Ah well, I suppose I might have been tired (it was 2:30 am). This is probably the same reason I didn't catch all those spelling and other grammatical errors. My word.
Next point! I actually didn't say "exactly" I said "almost exactly". As in someone said basically the same thing you said, but with different wording.
I also didn't put any words in your mouth either. I was interpreting what you were saying, but I wasn't straight up making things up. Side note: Why were those the same point? They're very unrelated. I didn't say "3Dude says people are saying the exact same thing as him".
Interesting you should mention vocabulary. I hate to mention real world accomplishments like this in an argument because it always comes across as pretentious, and I often can't actually prove it, but you challenged me so, here you are; in grade nine, on a standardized test, I actually scored as having the vocabulary of a university student. So in other words, I had the vocabulary of an adult, as a pre-teen/(very)early teen. Whaddya know? You on the other hand, decided to call me a revisionist, and I (admittedly) had never heard of the word. I looked it up, and I was able to discern, that you had no idea what you were talking about. Communism? Marxism? Where does this come into play with our conversation?
Next point! You never used the word attack, but you talked about how saying meh implied boredom and a lack of interest in the competitors. you also said this was below them. Clearly you think that this statement could be taken as offensive. if it can be taken as offensive, it can be called an attack. Please don't patronize me by making debate over you about which exact words you did and did not use. I'm assuming you're older than a middle schooler, so lets try and actually have a debate rather than a petty argument of "I didn't say attack, I said it was below them!". This goes for the rest of your points, but I'll only say it once because apparently you seriously hate points being repeated (you probably shouldn't read the majority of debates then by the way (seriously)).
Side Note 2: What's with the name calling by the way? I've only "name called" once and it was a valid point. You're calling me a frothing tool and revisionist (when you don't even know what it means). Come one, once again, this isn't middle school. Also, a hint, it's very unbecoming of a moderator to insult the people he (or she)'s supposed to be moderating. Imagine if a Obama called someone else a "frothing tool". Doesn't look good on your part.
Next point! No you never directly stated you disagreed with his assertion ("assert" is very close to "attack" by the way) but you said you didn't like the pr, so I assumed you like everyone else who said had the opinion he was wrong to say what he said in general. Admittedly my mistake, but one that's not too hard to make.
Next point! You said that you don't care but clearly, then, you lied. If you didn't care to at least some extent, you wouldn't have said what you said in the first place. And here we go with putting words in the mouth again *sigh*.
Next point! Once again, he didn't "pay respect" to the system yes but there are two reasons it doesn't matter. 1) He wasn't talk about the competitors system, he was talking about their lineup (I've said this before) which is mostly third party games (this has also been said before).
2) Why should he? He's not going to start talking about how great the PS4 and how (not actually) great the Xbone is. He was brought in, and is paid to talk about the Wii U. That's what he was doing. That was his focus in this comment. But everyone seems be zoning in on the fact that (oh dear) he said "meh" *gasp* "MEH" can you believe it? How offensive. And he said it in passing! It wasn't even actually what he was talking about. Disgusting, amirite?
Next point! ...
I.. you have a problem with people disagreeing with what you say I guess... (I think that's what you're saying)? Um.. ok...
Next point! I agree Nintendo's pr is usually above insults, but that's stayed the same here. However, paying respect to companies by not insulting them is not the level of political correctness I'm talking about, and I've always been under the impression that Nintendo was trying to be politically correct, but just honest, which, once again, they're doing here.
So you DO care about something I talked about hmmm, that's straight up contradiction.
Yes I think I understand you, though I don't understand the reason for the "now".
It doesn't matter even one bit. When you call their launch line-ups "Meh", it's no surprise that people are going to point out that your launch line-up was not any better.
Yes people WILL point that out because people get offended too easily. The people who are talking about this are focusing completely on the wrong thing. Let's say Nintendo is working towards being an ex-alcoholic. PS4 and Xbone are on there way to becoming alcoholics. All three of them are up for a position at a job. Nintendo points out that he's on his way to beating his alcoholism while his competitors are on their way to becoming alcoholics, and that when their alcoholism is in full swing he will most likely no longer be an alcoholic. Imagine how ridiculous it is if the person hiring these people just says "yet but you were an alcoholic once, so you can't bring up the point about you going to not be an alcoholic when they will be."
See how that makes no sense (I really hope you do, I find most people have trouble understanding metaphors, and I hate having to explain them :/ )
