Rayman Legends is the sequel to the sleeper hit, Rayman Origins, it was scheduled to be a Wii U exclusive but due to Microsoft's policy it became multiplatform.

Unlike Origins, this game actually has a story, 5 evil teensies are spreading nightmares to the Glade of Dreams, its up to you to free seven hundred teensies throughout your adventure.

The gameplay for Rayman Legends is excellent for a platformer, the useful things like jumping, wall jumping, ground pound, sliding, wall running, swimming, punching, your charge hits take literally half a second to charge up compared to Origins. All the abilities from Rayman Origins carry over to Legends, no need to learn them again. The gameplay is almost perfect but its the best platformer Ive ever experienced with great controls since Mario World, there is also the Murphy levels, 2 in each world, its actually very responsive and you can play as murphy in every level with the help of another player, just a pain to make the AI get the teensie but its only a 1 time thing,(I suggest you get a friend for this one.)

Graphically this game looks beautiful, the characters have this new graphical look to them instead of looking like they come straight from Deviantart, the levels look gorgeous having 5 different themes in the game and fit really well, Rayman has never looked so good in over 10 years.

There is so much replay value to do in this game, I'm 100% done collecting the teensies, pets and gold trophies, but there is always the challenge mode to come back to this game every day and week, its a competitive game to reach for the gold with other people's ghosts, or if you're lucky, a platinum trophy. There is also this additive Kung Foot mini game were you play with 3 other friends and compete in a soccer match, its additive and so much fun. Sadly, they've taken away a lot of the Wii U version's content, there is no online co op or using figures on the tablet. You also have the change to play Rayman Origins levels, almost all the levels from Origins are in this game, so you're basically getting 2 games in 1. To be honest the game is a lot more easier than Origins, you obtain over the amount of Lumbs you need to get the gold trophy, the teensies are a lot easier to find with no guide needed. but regardless this is on my top 20 games of 2013 and it was worth the wait.

If you love platformers, get the game. If you want a great 3rd party Wii U game, get it. If you didn't get this game, what are you waiting for?

Rayman Legends gets a 9 out of 10.

The Wonderful 101 is the Nintendo exclusive funded game created by Platinum Games, the same developers who brought us Bayonetta, Vanquish, Mad World, Anarchy Reigns and Metal Gear Rising: Revengence, before they became Platinum they were once Clover Studios developing for Capcom, creating such iconic games like Devil May Cry (3) Viewtiful Joe, God Hand and Okami.

The Wonderful 101 is a crazy mixture between Pikmin, Power Rangers, Viewtiful Joe, Bayonetta and Devil May Cry, with its crazy cast of characters and intense action. (And stupidly releasing it near GTAV) is it worth owning?

You play as the Wonderful Ones, 7 heroes with their own Unite Morphs. Wonder Red, The Crimson Fist. (Hand) Wonder Blue, The Supersonic Blade. (Sword) Wonder Green, Le Sniper Superieur. (Gun) Wonder Pink, The Queen of Rage. (Whip) Wonder Yellow, The Hammering Ruskie. (Hammer) Wonder White, The claws of Calamity. (Claw) and Wonder Black, The 8-bit Enchanter. (Bomb) The other 93 heroes are....pretty weird, but they use the same Unite Morphs like the 7 main characters. Commanding the heroes is Laurence Nelson a former super hero now in charge of the Wonderful Ones, with his assistants Alice MacGregor and James Shirogane, Lastly a young boy named Luka Alan Smithee, a boy who has a wonder pendant but won't reveal its secret. All of these heroes are here to stop the alien threat who have returned, the Geathjerk, (Guild of Evil Aliens Terrorising Humans with Jiggawatt bombs, Energy beams, Ray guns, and Killer lasers.)

The gameplay is awesome and it really shows that this is a character action game like Devil May Cry, it reminds me so much of Viewtiful Joe mixed with Bayonetta's quicktime events. Similar to Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe, you are graded by your performance, if you get hit a lot, waste time, or lacking combos, you will be down graded on your performance, using items or using retries will heavily downgrade your rank (like Devil May Cry). It is so much fun having a bunch of variety once you obtain another unite morph to create so much combo potential, switching from 7 different weapons so so satisfying. There is a lot of enemy variety, they introduce you to a new enemy and give you their info and how much damage they deal, which I really appreciate that they have so many enemy types instead of the same enemies over and over again. The bosses in this game are so awesome, sure its just QTE's but its so satisfying to see the action played out, its so much fun and the bosses are very memorable and i say its up to par with Bayonetta's bosses in a super hero game. There is a store you can go in the end of missions to power up your heroes, permanent stats or new skills.

The negative things I have with it is that when you have all unite morphs, it is almost impossible to get the one you want with the right stick, especially the whip. I strongly recommend you using the gamepad which you can just draw what you want. And the 2 most useful skills aren't unlocked from the beginning, Unite Spring and Unite Jell-O need to be purchased on the Wonder Market. There is also a community where you can share your ranks in Miiverse.....its...Kind of not needed since when I started playing, a lot of people were posting their bad scores and nobody ever yeah's them. And you can't control the camera, which is annoying because there is so much happening on the screen and you can barely tell if your team mates are missing.

Believe it or not but this game actually has replay value, you have to manually find all the other Wonderful Ones, they're hidden through out the levels, there's even secret ones like Wonder Bayonetta and Hideki Kamiya himself in the game, there's an achievement system you can collect, doesn't really effect anything but its something to collect similar to achievements and trophies. And finally there's multiplayer in Wonder Missions, the only down side is that its only the Wii U classic controller pro. So if you wanna play 5 player co op, be prepared to spend $220 dollars on controllers.

Its action packed, it can make you laugh, its difficult but rewarding. I really love the game because it reminded me of the old Capcom action games, I keep mentioning Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe because it is heavily similar to it, so many references of Kamiya's old projects it really shows that these guys who use to work at Capcom are still attached to their previous work but just masked as a different IP. (Like Keiji Inafune with Mighty Number 9, Shinji Mikami with Evil Within.) This feels like a very good super hero game that isn't a popular licensed comic book super hero. Platinum Games once again did an outstanding job with this Viewtiful Joe 10th anniversary game, but its a shame it didn't really sell that well.

The Wonderful 101 gets a 8 out of 10.

Origins had a story though, which imo was alot more detailed than legends.

What policy does Microsoft have that prevented Rayman Legends from staying a Wii U exclusive?

I read many times that it was about it not being able to sell well on just the Wii U - so they delayed it so it could be on the other platforms.  Not because of a policy.  That being said it is a really beautiful game.  we like the interaction with the gamepad and the little flying character.
