I dunno. I think the best cartoony looking game ever was Jet Grind/Set Radio. But as far as milking it for decades, yeah the crown goes to Nintendo. And the latest Mario looks really good. I am just sick to death of Mario.

 

Jet Set Radio is one of my favourite games of all time, the graphics were great!

 

Moving back on topic, I too was (obviously) going to buy the game, though I wasn't overly excited. This new trailer has changed that massively!

I can understand if you found the first trailer underwhelming and this trailer impressed you much more, I'm talking about the people who said: "this isn't a true 3D Mario game" or "i'll never support this!".

 

there are some people that are just done with mario. they remember playing it as a kid and they feel to "grown up" to still play it. there are people that bash the galaxy games that released on the Wii even though they have 2 of the highest ratings for a game EVER! those people never touched the games they just bashed because its mario. Nintendo is looked at as kiddie i know people dont like it but thats they way it is. Nintendo's goal is to make people smile and have "FUN" while playing their games and they do that better than anyone.

When I saw the first trailer of SMW 3D, unlike many who were unhappy it was not in the style of the Galaxy series, I was very happy with it. I liked those transparent pipes and felt there was much more to it than what we saw in that early clip but this second trailer exceeded my expectations with regard to gameplay and visual presentation. I'm very, very hyped .... Christmas will be very awesome with this and Zelda Between Worlds !!!
