UPDATE:
So, it seems that Luigi`s Mansion Wii U refuses to die.

According to nintendonews.com, someone found the game listed on BestBuy: click here!

Well, according to newegg.com, yes!

 

It could be a simple mistake, but it seems to be the read deal.

Kevin, from Nintendonews.com, contacted the retailer to confirm if the listing was in fact real, and this is what they were told:

 

"Lydia: Thank you for holding and you are welcome, Kevin. We have listed all the applicable information from the manufacturers on the website. All the information you see on Newegg.com comes directly from the manufacturer. We guarantee the information provided on our website. Unfortunately, the information that is not specified on our webpage will have to be obtained from the manufacturer."

Me, i`d love that as i really liked the first one and haven`t played the sequel on 3DS.

For people like me that didn't buy the 3DS version (yet) but also have a WiiU, this could be a good deal if you like to play on the big screen better than the small portable screen.

I always thought it would be a great game for Wii U. Now if they just keep the online multiplayer in we are golden!

For me it would also be a better deal as i don`t have the 3DS version.

 

If they can bring online to 3DS, Wii U is also getting it without a doubt.
We could even see some local multiplayer changes due to the gamepad.

But...Nintendo should better release some DS/3DS player for the Wii U like we had for the Snes (GB player).

It could really help selling the Wii U hardware for people who don't care about handhelds.

+ 3ds games will also sell more/more games for the Wii U = more profit for Nintendo.

 

And I would like to see my Professor Layton's collection on my big TV screen! (Games should render to 1080p, instead of just upscaling)

Although it would be cool to see Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon in HD. Since the 3DS version has all of the jaggies going on, I might prefer it on the Wii U.

I don't see this happening. Nintendo normally doesn't release a port so early on in a game's life. Luigi's Mansion was always made with 3D in mind, which is why it went to the 3DS. I see this nothing more than a simple mistake that was blown out of proportion. This isn't the first time it has happened with Newegg.

It would also hurt their 3DS sales which are booming right now. Nintendo needs to create games specifically for the Wii U, not rely on the 3DS library to try to carry it. It wouldn't get very far anyways.

Do you know what was fake too? The Donkey Kong 3D for 3DS box on Ebgames last year. Look at how that turned out.
