I want to get Majora's mask because I never played it back in the day. Should I DL it on the Wii channel? Will it be able to be played off screen? Can I use the classic pro controller for the Wii U? (the newer wireless one)

You cannot use the new WiiU stuff in Wii mode. So, you'll have to use wiimote+classic controller or wiimote+wii pro controller

 

Majora's Mask is an amazing game. Try it.

I thought they updated that? Because I can play Skyward Sword on the gamepad controler and whatnot.  Its just that all I have is the Wii Motion Plus and wireless wii U pro controllers...

You can use your Gamepad as your TV+sensor bar like you mentionned but you can't use the buttons on it. I know, I know... it's disappointing.

Yea, I agree. You really should be allowed to use it for classic games like MM.   But will I be able to play the game on my TV with the wiiU pro controller? 

 

and... do you think this will be released on the Wii U shop anytime soon ? Or should I just get it on the Wii shop

Anything on the Wii Shop can only be controlled by Wii Accessories. In Majora's Mask's case, you would need a Classic Controller.
