I think we'll be seeing a 3ds situation with the wiiu, all it needs are some key games and it'll take off.

The Wii U is gonna be fine, every time a more major release comes around, numbers spike. If Nintendo can maintain this with a bigger spike for Christmas through the release of Mario 3D World (among others), they can make more of a name for the Wii U, leading into incremental sales increase through Donkey Kong, Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros.

 

Maybe other people will realize this, but the Wii U has had a bad first year to say the least.

This is what the Wii U needed. Upwards momentum. Now, Nintendo has to work very hard to keep it going and growing it. The holiday looks good, maybe some surprises bundles and similar things could help even more. They need to have some good things planned early on for Q1 and Q2 and not just rely on a couple of big games.

 

Just saw the gamestop black friday ad. Looks like a skylanders swapforce wii u bundle, should help move some units for kids who wanted this game and a wii u.

nm I see those games are $24.99 with purchase of a system.  Pretty sweet deal for Mario 3D World if you don't have a console.  Pick up the Skylanders bundle and Mario for $24.99

I know Europe is getting Wii U Party Bundle and NSMBU / Luigi U bundle (I think) and I am sure NA will get more then the skylanders too. Match these with the current Wind Waker still out for Christmas and it sure does make a good selection of gifts to get that person who wants a Wii U.
