To further celebrate the Year of Luigi, Nintendo of Europe has updated its Club Nintendo Stars Catalogue with this gorgeous commemorative gold-coloured coin.

The item, which features the 'other brother', will set you back 1,500 of your hard earned Star Coins, and we couldn't think of a better item to spend them on. It comes included with a green velvet pouch featuring the Club Nintendo logo, to help keep the coin safe from pesky Goombas and Koopa Troopas.

It's been a good year for the green clad character, as a Limited Edition Year of Luigi 3DS XL is making its way exclusively to Nintendo's official online store.

We believe some are having some trouble accessing Club Nintendo to secure one of these coins. Be sure to let us know in the comment section below if you've been lucky enough to bag one.

Looks nice, hopefully NA gets something like this.

Europe has gotten free games, Pikmin Plushies, Mario Kart throphy replicas, and they still call us the lucky ones.

I guess it all balances out lol. NA side of club nintendo is sparse lately. Only new thing was Pikmin 3 tote bag which I got. Of course the VC games too, but I like souvenir items more.

lolololololol

You're hilarious.

The "free games" were nothing to do with collecting stars, it was an offer where you buy a console and know someone who already has a game, you can get that game too.

the plushies are the rainbowty little keyrings that cost 3 games right?

The trophies are cool, but they cost like 10 games.

Beats shoelaces for 6+ games or a tote bag for 9+ games.

No it doesn't.

The plushies were full 7 inch plushies I believe. Free games was still an offer, and the offer had that when you register any 2 select 3DS games, you get free ones. The free ones were awesome games like MH3U, FE:A, and Animal Crossing too. And the trophies were still more worth it than anything right now on club nintendo in NA

But those aren't really club rewards, jut a buy 2 get 1 free offer, like gamestop or something would run.

It's an NoE thing not a club nintendo thing.

Not sure what you mean.

I'd much rather spend my coins on trophies/plushies/statues (they have had statues in the past) than shoelaces and totebags.

US had 3DS games in the past.

I'd rather those.

The only 3DS games I can recall are the monthly titles and that one time they did a "buy two, get one free" and had a ton of old games on the list of free games.

Yeah they copied europe once with that, I'm talking about the eshop codes they were giving away fro buying games last year.

Uhm...hmm. You got a link or anything, I genuinely don't remember this (unless you're talking about the FE:A/SMT thing)

Coin already gone from the list. :o

DAMN.

Missed the second wave of mario trophies and now I lost this. :(

My stars are screaming and I refuse to buy sticky pads, notebooks and key chains.

The last thing I bought was a '?' mario block and this Animal Crossing fan below, which must have been either last year or two years ago.  I'd love game offers (not the buy two get a third free kind), eshop cards and better collectables.
