I just read that the Wii U version of CoD: Ghosts is developed by Treyarch, whereas the other versions are being developed by Infinity Ward. Is that true?? Is the Wii U different version in any way?

Cod: Ghosts on Wii U not developed by Infinity Ward?

Yes this is true. Treyarch has a Wii/Wii U team that developed all the Wii builds over COD over the years. Trust me when I tell you this is a good thing. Its a dedicated team that has history working with Nintendo hardware.

Is the Ghosts content different besides not having the day one pre-order map bonus?

Its going to be an exact port. Anything on the disk for the other consoles will also be on the Wii U disk. DLC is unlikely for the Wii U. I think it has more to do with the community not being large enough to really support that DLC. Its been common for many modes in Black Ops 2 on Wii U to be empty, you can imagine how hard it might be to find full matches in the DLC content with such a small community. Treyarch did a crazy amount of customization to get the Wii builds of COD running and complete. Its crazy how close the action is on the Wii build of Black Ops and MW3 compared to the PS3/360 builds. Other than being 30fps and not nearly as pretty, its all there. This is pretty darn impressive for a little 700Mhz single core CPU with a very old GPU design. The fact that these guys were able to do that on Wii, it gives me a lot of hope that the Wii U port of Ghost will run and look great.

the CPU on the original wii was more than capable, the gpu was not. skyrim is probly playable with everything intact on the cpu, the graphics would be complete and under rainbow but the game itself would be intact. i just hope the wiiU dev team knows enough to actualy get in noticably higher quality than the 360/PS3 versions.

Im not bashing the Wii CPU or anything, but it was still a single core 700Mhz CPU compared to a 3.2Ghz Tri Core CPU in the 360. Yes I know that the PPC750 core is much more capable per Mhz, but its unlikely that the increased efficiency makes up for running 4 times slower than the 360 cpu cores. Its impressive what they were able to do back then, and now with the power of Wii U they should be free to really get the game singing. Black Ops 2 struggled from the same thing every launch port did, terrible dev kits with a lack of information from Nintendo.

According to iirc julian from factor 5, the 360 cpu at its 3.2 Ghz clock speed had a 20% performance advantadge over broadway @749Mhz. (per core of course).

Yea, I couldnt remember who had talked about it, but I knew it didnt blow away the broadway core, but that it was indeed more powerful, and had three cores.

Whatever. Treyarch will only prove themselves when they give DLC to the nearly 5000 BO2 community. I mean, its not like Ubisoft released AC3 Multiplayer DLC on Wii U even though the online community is WAY smaller than the BO2 community. Oh wait they did...

i am just not getting my hopes up for nothing outside of Nintendo developed games and Bayo 2.... i dont expect nothing outside of a 360 port out of developers... They will have to show me.
