I am not sure of how big of a deal this is...but the one thing that is bothering me is that its kind of hard to know when someone posts something on miiverse while you are playing a game.  You have the little blue blinking light when something happens, but when you are immersed in a game you are not always looking at the gamepad.  So what i would like is a noise indicator.  Can be a simple few blirbs or something to notify you that something was posted or even when a "friend" has come online.  Pretty simple but I think that would be a great addition to miiverse.

You can't cancel something like region locking. It could be disabled however or not included in the first place. This is one of those things that makes Nintendo behind the times and their consoles seem backwards especially when the PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Vita are all region free and the Xbox 360 is region free with certain games.

Region Free. I'm a collector and import often sometimes I buy the Japanese,PAL and US version of a game to show support. I still play my PAL copies of Xenoblade & The Last Story on Homebrew on Wii more than I played the US copies. Just ended up that way. Have a few imports on DS and PSP,PS3 and many older systems. Region Free is pretty important to me.

 

Nintendo did buy the Japanese version of twitch so while we not get twitch be cool to get a app on Wii U to watch other players stream thier Wii U games. Maybe watch on PC as well.

Not very bright are you. It has more 1080P games than XBO or PS4. The hardware is very powerful. If you actually listened to people know know what they are talking about you would realize just because the numbers on paper seem smaller does not mean weaker. In fact it's not far behind PS4 and in some cases can do tricks PS4 cannot.  Nintendo has always known how to make hardware and make it well. To be quite blunt they are the only ones who still make a true console architecture. PS4 and XBO are badly disguised PC's with lazy design and raw specs. Gunpei maybe gone but he left his mark and the team over there know hardware like he did and are freaking wizards. Just that Wii U is on optimizing. PS4 and XBO is code dumping SNES,N64 GCN and now Wii U wre always on par or better with the competition in many ways.

 

I remember the Blast Processing and fast CPU debate back in the day vs SNES. SNES had a much slower CPU but then it did mode 7 thousands of colors and the Sony sound chip.  Gamecube despite the specs not seeming to be as good as Xbox was able to pull off many tricks and faster ram despite less of it .than Xbox. Nintendo knows how to design hardware and design it well and very efficient. be pretty gullible to fall for the X86 stuff and it's a kinda messy processor and even better is most Wii U games don't use more than one core without optimizing. This is also a machine that has a dual core arm processor handling the OS while PS4 and XBO the CPU does all the work taking away from games.Had Gunpei would be proud how his mark lives on.
