Wii U took the top spot in sales for a home console beating out PS3 & XBOX 360, Overall, however, the 3DLL was the top selling system.

Is the Xbox One out in Japan right now? Not like I expect that to do anything in that country, but still.

To start with software, top spot goes to new 3DS release Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2, while Pokémon X & Y returns to second place. Super Mario 3D World is in fourth place, with sales under half of its first week; results are below with lifetime sales in parenthesis.

The hardware results bring some notable good news for Nintendo. The 3DS XL — LL in Japan — has enjoyed a handsome increase with new software and the ongoing popularity of X & Y. Most intriguingly, the Wii U has followed up its increase last week of around 5,000 units with another bump in sales, despite only Super Mario 3D World appearing in the software chart — its weekly boost of over 7,500 units makes it the second best selling system in Japan. Perhaps the result of the value bundles in the region, as well as other factors, it's a welcome improvement; last week's sales are in parenthesis.

My original post was from my Wii U and its copy paste feature was limited so I then went to my PC for the rest of the post.

The Wii U continues to be strong in Japan for another week selling even more consoles than last week, almost 50,000!

For the record, I am a He, not a She ... I just happen to have a sexy female avitar!

No surprise, It's been the top selling home console in japan quite a few weeks now.

 

The real test will be when the ps4 launches.
