Apologies most venerated Moderator. I meant Nintendo games are become recycled over and over, while Sony and Microsoft are branching out with new titles, WITH 3rd party support, and sony is even working hard to have indy titles on the system.

When I hear people say,

"if you don't like mario or zelda, you won't like the wii u" it saddens me!

Yes, branching out with such titles as "Gran Turismo 6", "Uncharted 4", "Halo 2014", and "Dead Rising 3".
The most original companies in the business.

That's pretty one sided considering all the new IP's the have been and will be released. If anyone thinks new releases should only consist of new IP's and no sequels or remakes then that's not going to happen as it doesn't make business sense.

What other games have come from Sony or MS studios?
tearaway, and killer instinct?

Update on my impressions

+ excellent design, especially the Zelda pack looks great

+ impressed with the GamePad

- angry at the time it takes to set it up and download/install new update

question: In the store I found the wii remote (the thing that you connect to the nunchuck) for $45 and the same thing in a bundle with a game (mario etc) for $60. Are these games worth it?

Yeah that initial set up for the system was a big one, that's for sure. The nice thing though is once it's done, it's done. My system seems to do a lot of the updating and downloading stuff in sleep mode so that I don't have to worry about that stuff.

Also, if you're looking for a really great hardcore game for your Wii U, then I would HIGHLY suggest Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate. This is one of the absolute best third party titles on the system yet nobody talks about it when discussing the Wii U. Very strange since it's a AAA third party exclusive (and on 3DS). You know, that thing people have been saying Nintendo needs more of.

Tearaway is a creative, and genuinely enjoyable, and original new IP, but I often have to laugh at the fuss made over new IPs.

They are great when they do something new, like Tearaway, or Pikmin, but often they are just the same old games reskinned.

What is Knack doing that is new? Mario 3D World has done new stuff in the first hour and yet is called 'just another Mario game'.

Are we really at the point where we think replace Mario with some new character and it's suddenly a better game?

IKR, and when they do new IP, nobody cares, pullblox, knack, maybe microsoft have done something, I don't know.
People don't actually like them when they're new for whatever reason, perhaps unwilling to give brand new, unproven games a chance at 60 Euro.
