If they have a good selection of ps2 and ps1 games I'll be happy, I already have a ps3 and I'm happy playing my ps3 games on my ps3.

So is this seperate from the Gaikai Service they talked about earlier? I don't care about it on tablets unless they have Controller support via Bluetooth (so I can use a Dualshock 3), but I'm excited for it on PS4. I never got to play any of the Uncharteds, MGS4, The Last of Us, Infamous 1 and 2, Ratchet amd Clank, Jak and Daxter, etc., so this will be amazing. You would need to be connected to the internet at all times for this to work, but I would only use it at home so its ok with me.

Ah and how much would all this cost?

I know on the Psp they had ps1 games going for $20 when I can find those online for a few pennies.

 

Same with Psp games on the ps vita.

 

So what will be the price for these games.

Also it said smart phones and tablets. So we will need a Bluetooth controller hopefullym I rather not use touch screen controls.

Possibly, but if they do that then I doubt it will bring in much outside of their gaming hardware. I think Sony may have realized that making gaming hardware is not the money making side of the business, at least not by their model.

Heh, it would be funny if they dropped out and just brought their games to the Wii U and Steambox. And considering it's financially viable for Microsoft to drop the Xbox...

I think sony is realizing that hardware isn't the best way to make money. Think of it. people on all platform playing playstation games? That's quite the opportunity. I might have to look into getting a ps4 this gen. It's looking to be a good bet. with this many sales already, the devs are sure to follow.

It's more plausible than you think. People tend to forget that Sony's been bleeding money and the only way they've stopped has been to sell off assets. It wasn't the software part of their gaming business that lost them money, it was the hardware.

As cool as this sounds, how could you play a game like The Last of Us on a smartphone? It seems that would just be awkward to play on a small screen and without a controller.

I assume it will have Bluetooth Controller support, allowing you to use a Dualshock 3. The screen size will be an issue for PS3 and PS2 games. I use a PlayStation emulator on my phone and it's fine, so PS1 might be ok.
