If new paint is all this game has going for it, than there isn't much hope in this game selling that well at $60 if you can get the same game for far less.

I was really amped up when I 1st saw this game and thought it was possibly the reason to get a ps4 for, then I realised it was a re-release so I dropped on the PS3 version for £14.50 and saved a load of cash for now. I am enjoying the game but finding it a bit too story based and I feel like I am just pressing buttons here & there then watching a cut scene, it is a good game though but if I had payed £50 pled the outlay for the PS4 I might of been a bit annoyed. I will keep my PS3 for a bit longer and maybe get a PS4 for Xmas 14 as the new castlevainia looks good also and I have yet to play the last one, then Mario Kart 8 will fill up Spring hopefully. I don't really play games much in the summer as I would rather be out before the 6 months of rain comes around again....

While both are native 1080p, it looks like Xbone version will run at 30fps and PS4 runs at 60fps.

Yep higher price for a much lower spec console, unless your really in to the 1st party M$ stuff then why bother buying one against PS4?

PS4 version of Tomb Raider is the Definitive Edition. Rumours were true, PS4 at 60fps and Xbone 30fps. Kotaku also say both console versions have bettter graphics than PC too.

Sorry if you have read it or sick of hearing the same things but I think theis article's interesting. It was uploaded a couple days ago but I missed it, been really busy.

 

New info on the consoles ACE's (allowing out of order execution) states:

Xbone has 2 Asynchronous Compute Engines with 16 queues.

PS4 has 8 Asynchronous Compute Engines with 64 queues, 400% more.

It's apparently supposed to be it on ultra settings with Tres-Effex, which melted computers everywhere.

As for me, I was thinking about getting this on 360, but I guess I will wait for the PS4 version.

I remember reading things about Tres-Effex being a huge hit on Nvidia machines, even Titans. That may have been worked out later.

While I totally agree, the PC race runs on real world communism with the few having most of the power. Sure, GTX 770 and above can out do the consoles, but what about people with 2 or 3 year old PC's? They wouldn't be able to handle the mod anyways. Also, the prices of PC components in any country but the US are stupid high. Canada in particular

TressFX is AMD.

 

EDIT: nvm, just found out it's not exclusive to AMD anymore.
