- three secret levels per world
- this would mean there are 60 or so levels, not including special worlds
- may see the return of more animal buddies

This information supposedly comes from the next issue of ONM, which is due out this week. We'll keep our eyes peeled!

There was also mention (somewhere) that players could upload footage of their level runs, similar to Mario Kart TV which was announced back at e3. Assuming this would happen on MiiVerse.

  • Players can upload times and full replays to show friends, and to help other players improve their own times.

I know a lot of people didn't want Retro doing this game over Metroid, but it just keeps sounding better and better!  It sounds like Retro has done a very nice job on this one and that it will be a pretty good challenge as always.  I'm excited to play this one in a little over a month!

This game really does look nice, but I  still have to beat DKCR (which I got shortly  after launch) so I'm  not picking this up.

Too difficult?

Too difficult?

Well, partly. One level was too hard, so  I  ditched the game for a while. Then, a LOT of other games came in its way so I basically forgot it and now I'm still playing other games. I beat said level eventually so I think  I have the skill to beat the game.  I like me a challenge.

Retro's first shot at a DKC reboot was pure awesome. Having it handheld was pure awesomer. And now this appears to be going full awesomest level

In other words, I love you

It's just that this game will add upon the pile of other good platformers, like New Super Mario, Super Mario 3D and Rayman. Plus, DKCR released in 2010 and to be honest, this looks kind of similar (but good). Metroid Prime 3 released in 2007 and since so many people didn't like Other M, that's also a wound to heal.
