Yet I never took them serious because for real gamers, a phone, tablet or other casual device would not give me an experience as on a Nintendo or Playstation. Many calles CES2014 a sign that things were about to change with the arrival of third party controllers for apple devices. Yet, with just an ipad and a controller I still couldn't enjoy gaming as on my tv and with third party hardware it would still be a to splintered industrie for real studios to invest in.
BUT, what if Apple change their collective mind, and actually see how much money they earn through casual games, it wouldn't be a to strange thought to try someting more.
I just read this article, and while I don't enjoy reading it, there are some valid points.
If Apple decides to actually come with a much updated AppleTV and a topnotch firstparty controller, combined with premium labelled games for the TV-Controller set. I think a lot of big studios would get behind that.
That said, read this article. It's on the Fool's website...uhrm, fool.com but if I read between fhe lines, all consolefirms should be worried.
Valve already mentioned that they don't see a rival in Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony but only in Apple.
.... We'll see what happens.
